They've been operating in pairs up and down the east coast these last two weeks. Excluding Saturdays.
Any sign/sightings of the inflight tankers?

Aren't they supposed to be off the coast of Ireland soon?
Didn't know the first airborne refuelling was in 1923...
guess it was pretty low tech

They'd have to either fly round or over Scotland to get there.
Much the same as now, one above the other to allow gravity to do its work.
Oh, and the passenger on the receiving end had to cop 'old of the hose, then attach it to the aircraft.
