Me ?, We were on the M9 at Kinross in the nearby Kingdom..
I'd an ack at Stirling (I was heading north on the M-way), then nothing until two near Kinross and one at the Queensferry Crossing). I tried a couple heading home, but nothing.
I'd better give it a break or I'll get blocked
They might be glad with the traffic....
Still good at that frequency with such low power....

Watching canal boat thingy on't telly..
Wonder if Mrs M would fancy letting me cycle down the banks of some of them,
It could be a change of GC visits for her, see how generous I am

I've covered a fair bit of the central belt as well, just as well Mrs M is happy to take part..

How big is the power source, or do you plug it into the cigarette lighter when yer mobile.
You only use it away from home base I take it. Testing how far you can receive yer own signal.
Do the spots where yer getting yer best results have anything in common, aside from being high spots. Open country, that sorta thing...
Maybe they're keeping quiet due to a "new kid on the block", and not being certain of yer. Don't the systems record any and all "hits" when they're on?
Yer getting around a bit in this, yer latest experiment. Hope yer tipping yer chauffer well for her troubles. Or are GC visits the payment...

I use my callsign....

I'm using a 3.7v 3000 mah battery, the original unit eats batteries and would do that in less than a day; the updated unit could go up to 5 days on the same battery. Got the big antenna taped to the window handle connected to the second unit, and it's running off the computer USB socket....

Computer USB isn't much power. You only do that when yer using yer computer I take it.

I used to have continuous power to the USB sockets. I'm wary of going into the BIOS to change the settings, one day I'll bite the bullet, (both towers had new everything inside fitted about 3 or four years ago, might do one before the end of the year.

I'm debating putting an antenna in the loft and running short coax, but TBH, I need traffic to do that.

Historically, there's very little warm(20c plus) weather up there, which might explain why you don't like warmer weather.

Apart from two spells working in a building (shop an't mill)
I spent my life working outside....
I was a mess on scorching hot days, still am.
Spring, my fave flower time..
I used to get goosebumps when the bulbs we planted came out as the colours (mostly yellow) were so fresh and colourful...

I understand the need to be doing summat. Stop you growing roots in yer chair preventing injury due to thumb twiddlin...
Surprised you've found time to do it though.
The mornings being yours being the reason you head out early. Maximise the use of the time available for the GC's...
We'd a GC with a butchers and farm shop on site. Not certain if it's still going as I've not been that way for a while due to various road works/closures.
Wanderin is good for yer...

Aren't usb sockets "on" by default when the machine is on anyway?
Would changing the way either is set up be worth changing anything for. 3 - 4 years ago, they're shoving on a bit now.

You need more traffic to make it worth yer while, but in order to get more traffic an aerial(and associated coax cable(s)) would help. Catch twenty-two you got yersself into there.
