They sit luxuriating in oil until the tin is opened and put on sarnies OR eaten straight from the tin..
My mum used to buy tins and tins of them and tuna (kippers too)
plus the fish I caught off the docks?
plus a fish supper every pay day night..

I remember my younger days, you found a pub that knew how to pour beer..
Too many were sloppy..
I refused many a pint if bogging looking....
I'm sure technology now will have improved that ratio..
I don't drink out much but find anything served up is okay..
I will say, in all my trips across the water, I only asked for a replacement once and got a free one as an apology, we spent our week in his pub.
Nights were raucous, Ballyg*wan water was the first thing touched in the morning....
