I don't fly so I'm stuck..
I did offer so Mrs M could get to the sunshine but she says no..
There are express buses between GLA and EDI, but anything else, every town, every village, but that is the way it should be.

Out on me Polly, only got into double figures, but a 5-mile almost constant upward, good coming back down though, although any wee rises then become killers, mindset wrong?
Five 'Testings' sent out, almost Acks immediately and location sends all ack'ed too...

Now drinking everything (except alcohol)..

Email? Their unsubscribe doesn't work. That's an offence, naughty.
Many spammers must have moved on; there haven't been any blue pill ones in ages.
Although one old VM address gets spammed by these so-called political ones (US)..
The sad thing is that the real ones who are sent are also looking for money, saying Send me this amount, that amount, and we'll support the president, etc. All from members of the Grand Ole Party (of scammers and rogues).
Makes our last mob who were in power look like amateurs...

Sardines? damn forgot a tin was in the cupboard but still time, maybe once the sleeping twosome wakes...
And Mrs M doesn't do boats/ships, so a slow boat is out of the question.
A walking holiday perhaps, with the young un's acting as "sherpa's" for the pair of you.
Personal experience of those express buses aren't all that great.

An out is an out, doesn't matter how long it were. You didn't carry enough speed on the downhill to get you out of the hollow...
They may be wondering who the "new kid" on the block(airwaves) is.

Drinking, at this time o'day. How'd tha find time to do that.

Never noticed it 'til you mentioned it, but yer right on the unsubscribe list, I've just checked. Even the valid ones don't appear to offer that now. Not had a blue pill one in a few years. Now it's home energy, solar panels and how to live "correctly".
They ask for money, I delete. I'd rather the money went into one of the collection buckets, or via people I know who work for/with them.
The only "political" ones I get are asking for my help in delivering stuff. I'll do theirs if they'll do mine...

You don't want to share yer tin of sardines. Shame on you...

I thought by law you had to give the option....
I had to block a charity that I had made a couple of donations to and ticked the option to not contact me. Oh boy, they constantly did in the last two months, so hopefully, now no more.

I enjoyed it but feeling it now, three weeks since the last one..
Had enough for the day...

I just delete any they do send, and if they keep on sending, I return the odd one. Just to let them know.
The problem with the charity ones is that it's normally been passed onto another company to deal with. They don't like taking No for an answer.

Three weeks since yer last tin of sardines! We're they kept to yerssen as well.
Any left in the tin?

I'd a charity cold caller try to 'shame' me into ponying up..
Firstly, no one on my doorstep gets my bank details..
Secondly, don't try to shame me into it..

Email around oneish this morning,
You won a prize, National Lottery said, thinking the usual Lucky Free dip for two numbers, 4 numbers , yay!!!!
Not a fortune but hey, a little back....

Sardies? my whole family turn up their noses at such a luxury item..
They have never spread them on toast....
Mind you, always been cheap as I thought nobody wanted them....

The Toodles gang has arrived and chaos is ensuing downstairs...

The street "chuggers" are worse. But like yerself, I'm not keen on the tactics used by cold callers. Especially since they've invited themselves onto your property.

You'll be informed one morning, in the same way, you've won a five figure sum and you'll be there trying to convince yourself and Mrs M it's true. She'll probably say you were dreaming.
Every little counts as you say.

They don't like kippers or sardines, they're an odd lot. You certain they are your family, and not lookalikes who've replaced them?
I know some folk who consider sardines to be cheap, and as a result not for them.
Let one of these TV chefs come forward saying they're good for you and they'd fly off the shelves.

Meanwhile you're upstairs, out of the way waiting for them to quieten down, before going down. Wise move...

We ate tins and tins of them when I was a yunc...
Tuna was kinda the same until it got trendy...
As I said before, tinned Canadian salmon was the in thing oop here,
now tuna is the answer to all our oily fish needs, it's omega this and that...buzz words.
Too much processed sh**e now...

Bike fettling again, thought back brake felt softish, so did a wee bit of work on it and copper greased wheel spindle thing

Mrs M shared a five-figure sum once, a lowish one with about twenty folk.
Quite funny as they were on a staff night out when I texted Mrs M to let them know..
I guess bar takings soared....nothing worse than an all-girl night out..
Is that politically correct?
Most I've won yet.
It'll go by until the next cross-border raid...

I can believe it.
Tuna will slip from favour in time, chef's 'll stop pushing it. Then the price should drop...
Don't think I've ever had tinned salmon, whatever it's nationality. Fresh, filleted, but not canned.
Cheap n'cheerful init!
That's the problem, not what we actually eat. Meat, veg or fruit.

You reckon the brakes will still stop you, now yer going faster. Regreased the bearings, you'll be going quicker.

Similar win once at work, large four figure sum. The person in charge of the pool disappeared from work, along with the money. It'd have been around £150 apiece.
It'd have pleased the bar staff. Especially if they decided to tip them, after finding out.
Why not?
That much. You've hidden the ticket for safe keeping...
Plan's changed since the win...

Well, another month turned up this morning and the last one has disappeared. At this rate they'll all be gone before we know it.

Dry but overcast, torrential downpours promised for today. We'll see...

On the salmon thing..
I got called by someone I knew, 'Pop in tomorrow' he said...
I did and left with six large cans of Alaskan Salmon..
His son-in-law had brought home a case, he was based at the Holy Loch Naval base.
It was good but no different from what you can buy in our shops...
same fish, different label

No ticket, I just do it all online....
They pay into my account, and I then withdraw it unless its three numbers' winnings go towards paying for the next monthly draw ticket.
saves heading out and mixing with the proles...

Bike, more the skewer..

Owdo
Yer not a true tourist though, did they mind you joining them?
Putting it that way, it sounds painful. On a par with a double extraction.
Quite possible, rain forecast/promised. Ideal time to do it. And, if the wind is in the wrong direction, it can carry for miles.
Think of that fresh country air yer getting in yer lungs...

Do the salmon mind though?
You got the entire box full, for yerself!
Given where he were working, were they the glow in the dark variety.
Didn't John West offer Alaskan Salmon for sale over here at one time. "Outrage" from buyers over here made them stop.
It saved them the swim to this side of the world.

Again!

No ticket, bar a virtual one, virtual winnings paid into a virtual account. What happened to real money...
You could use yer winnings to pay for yer McD's coffee.

Threatening rain here now...

The thing is, these salmon run the gauntlet of boats then run the rivers, breed and die.
Limits are now in place to keep the numbers up as it's quite a necessity to have a strong fishery.
Excellent on a sandwich...
Must admit tuna in oil or smengles in oil are my fave, wee dash of salad cream occasionally esp in the Toona, well-done toast adds to the smegels.
In other news, a new node picked up this morning, must have been signal bouncing off yon big metal beasties.

Coming back this morning, the two girls in their seats in the back, we stopped at Maccys and I got Toodles Snr a McFlurry..
the wee yin was devastated but she's far too young for one. We tried some treats, but no, the looks we got could have turned milk, that idea is out the window......coffee is off the menu on the way home too.

I see big wind and rain promised at some point.

Yon base? handy for cases of stuff like Schlitz (the best US beer), Bob whistles :cuppa:
Couple of garages on the mainland had a US Navy pump, jeez, cheap ? so cheap they were giving it away esp after yon petrol price massive rise in '73? was it...
Off to the hut....
