No time to eat! You've to plan yer outings better than this.
A jetty, thinking about a boat trip...
Slow down, take things easy. It's a Sunday after all.

Wooden walkway out...
Mrs M reneged, possibly getting pushed in the 'Catseye' almost 50 years ago
Funny, I haven't got round to painting my toadstool....
Maybe during this amber warning windy weather due, I'll see....

I originally thought of doing a Benchy but I'd been talking about the morse main body the previous evening so Ting! that could be ideal to print with PETG as it has curves , overhangs etc so I decided to do it without supports.

Long day....a big pot of Lamb Rogan Josh cooling downstairs:eek:

You've not developed the ability to walk on water yet then, or the urge to take a dip on yer travels then.
You didn't, did you!
No reminders from Mrs M to get it done, if only to compare paint jobs.
Wet n'windy headed in your direction, if the forecasts are correct.

Okay, is a Benchy along the lines of a Banksy, only smaller and printed?
How does the PETG print compared to PLS in the printer.

Nearly over now, and a day you don't like coming up.
A wee bit late for supper int'it...

Haven't really made much to compare,
first print was reasonably good, I find blue is a weird colour to use, it just is...
no obvious problems plus it is stronger, food safe and has more benefits..
I haven't researched it much tbh..
I can see no difference in the print quality..
It was a cheapo spool...

Benchy, Banksy ? nah,
It's a lovable wee boat, a test piece...
Same as the Maneki Neko (lucky cats), I have quite a few..
I'm about to go try print the latest thing I HAVE MADE, a simple thing, like me..

This looks like a day for the house....

Good morning from a WET land of the Jock :hello:
Breezy? yes BUT soooo wet,
almost 16mm so far..
A good day for Donald and his friends...
Owdo from a Wet White Rose County.
T'ain"t as bad as we were led to believe it would be. Not certain how much has fallen, but I'd say less than North o'Border...
You have Daisy, Huey, Dewey, and Louie up there or just Daffy?

First attempts using it then.
No way to describe it and no obvious reasons, just like a hunch in many ways. Food safe and stronger, egg cups amongst the projects being lined up?
Does the printer setup differ much when using it. You never read the instructions(Probably in a dozen different languages) that came with it.
Cheapo being good for what you were doing. Testing...

I'd forgot about the boat.
Any Maneki Nekos printed in the new stuff yet.
About to print the latest you've made, isn't that a wee bit of an odd way of doing things...

Give you more time to get the printing done. Maybe a pair of flippers!

Yet, lots of branches (small) lying on or at side of roads, windier getting...

I could print Crocs......
Flippers? material is more likely not flexible enough
You find a file....
You use a 'slicing' programme in which you can change the settings, PLA I do at 190c and 50c (bed), PETG is set at 220c and 70c, once settings etc are made (eg if you need 'supports' etc.)
Press Slice then it goes through the motions.
You upload/save the file to your computer or directly on to the SD card, insert it into the printer, and go through the start-up motions. It then starts printing...
In the final generated file (a GCODE file), it tells you the material, the time it takes, and the name of the file.
Each time I start up printer, I extrude before printing to keep nozzle flowing..
As you see only difference is heat...

Nowt as bad as that round these parts. A light breeze with a few damp spells, even the sun is out now. Along with blue skies.

What would they be like on the feet though.
Two part flippers, with a hinge after the foot. Would also take into account the printer size.
Did a quick search, dolphins aplenty, no flippers. Could you manage with a snorkel?
Adjust the printer settings, as you would for any printer.
Easy for you to say that...
Probably sounds more complicated than it is though.
The pre-print extrusion done for peace of mind?
It looks that way...

Hard to tell, second-hand versions kicking around aren't that much dearer...
probably all right for basic use.
If for a house, I'd pony up the money for a dongle or one of the SDR boxes TBH, obviously need a computer or laptop.
Going by the antenna and the literature, it's been lying in a cupboard or something.
Looks minging TBH.

Yeah, could be hard to size plus not very flexible...
but hey, some iffy things on these 3d print project websites....
I created something last night^_^, and it worked. A couple of tweaks, and I have a handy thing, very basic but it works^_^
I have a VNA and to measure the resonant frequency of an antenna, I really need something that can take the antenna and voila !!

For filament, it's only the temperature..
PETC melts and works at average 30c hotter and plate has to be minimum 70c.
I do PLA at 190 and 50c, PETG at 220 and 70c..
I almost bought another colour of PETG tonight...
PLA (after 'slicing' infos), the yellow thing is the piece.

PETG

Cost, I haven't set the average price of filament as it varies, £14 was the pla I used today for a kilo (300 meters plus), petg was a cheapo from the land across the sea at £9, not many at that price, I'll run off one of each tomorrow.....

Possible mobile use, and/or easy to carry in pocket or luggage.
Hoping to check the battery compartment first. Any issues there, it'll be left where it sits. This second-hand by the way.
The picture is all I've seen so far, the same as yourself.

Well if shipbuilding isn't possible, of a reasonable sized vessel, you've to think of alternate means.
Iffy is one way of describing them. A "working" handgun in various parts, to be assembled before use. Not that I'd trust so something I'd printed to actually fire a live round.
You made! What's it do... Does it work...

One piece of something larger, with the other bits yet to be printed.
A fair bit, but simple change of printer settings when switching between the two materials.

Any orange in yer inventory from across the sea.
How long does a reel last, once you start printing?

I get it from the big river place as prices are competitive.....
Look at the PLA image above..
It says model Filament length is 6.49 metre...
Weight is 19.53 gms (we'll say 20 Gm)
so I can make 50 of those from 1kg ..or 51.2 of
so this equates to approx 332 metres of filament per spool.
The 1Kg marble cost me 13.99 so 27/28p approx....
Calculators are a great thing...
so it lasts? all depends on the model size, say yon morse code base I did in PETG 85.94 metres.....

Settings don't change (yet), just 'slice' at the preset temperatures for that material,
I'm finalising the print of what I've adapted for my use, starting with PLA and then PETG. PETG one just started.

I have an orange which folk say is a red, it may be me being a bit colour blind but everything else is the colour I think it is....it came from overseas. Oh well, time to get the babysitting head on...
