And yer subjects, were they pleased to see thee.
True, did it cost much...
It ALWAYS costs me :cuppa:
Is it that one or the other that's famous for it's knockoffs and non deliveries.
Anywhere needs some good stuff on display, to get yer interest.
Image of Dale Head a quality item?
Aah well, easily explained...

Acks here and there then, be careful you don't lose them elsewhere...
Hold up, yer doing summat and you don't know what it does! Is that safe? It might be the "Toodles Twins" way of keeping an eye on you.
Sounds as though it's getting everywhere.

Hope you enjoyed today.
Been a while since I bought anything off the Bay..
I was in earlier looking for a Pork Pie hat...
plenty to choose but not in my size, I have a le grand bonce (64cm) and funny money wanted for them....
Youngest finally toodled across the floor today...oh no:cuppa:

Of course, 48 in x 30 in framed and pride of place as you head downstairs..
I have two prints of the Buachaille ,and a Russian OS type map of my place of birth and another two things hanging..
There is a lake district theme in others...
Dale Head was my first summit walked in '79, plus Mrs M too..
my third fave hill ever....

Rounders on just now then it'll be over to the Toob.....
Ale required:cheers:

Was it worth it though?

"Pork Pie" hat! Hat size for missen is 62cm, not that far behind you. Always funny money wanted if the size is even slightly odd these days. Have you ordered one, or still looking?
Towards you or away from you...

Is that the one bought and framed recently?
Visible from downstairs as well, I take it.
Smaller sized one, in "your room" then.
Russian map, you not keen on OS maps. Or, were the Russian one cheaper.
You'll have done a few since yer first one. And a few of them with Mrs M as well.
What's in first and second spots?

You expecting a decent game and a fairly reasonable finishing time. Thus allowing you some Utube time...
Why not. Cool and served in a glass...

Not that desperate for one....
I tried a 58 on today and jeez....nae chance.....

Nah, just fancied the Russian and my son got me it...
I am a left winger so.....

Aye, many a fell visited, that one one? double figures at least..

Numero uno is a hill called Corlic (OS has Corlick), 996ft ASL above my old stamping ground, a rather insignificant lump....
Number two is the Buachaille Etive Mor (see Glencoe)

Pork Pies a plenty

Just having a gander, for the moment...
Three sizes down, no wonder it wouldn't fit.

Someone else buying it, did you put up much of an argument to not buying it.
Play(ed) football as well.

Doesn't have to be high, or hard to get to. There's plenty of other reasons to like a particular hill.
Glencoe seems to be a popular spot of yours.

Not eaten them all in one sitting did you. Possibly with help...

Except there's very little free these days.

I was a fair to middling goalie...
never had any ball skills.

Thinking my big head will wear woolly bunnets...

I thought of a number one visit but a bit dreary out to be honest....

They placed you in the position where you could do least damage. Fir me, it were the subs bench.
No ball skills either.

Could Mrs M knit you one? Keep her busy...

Overcast, close and dry here. Early morning skies have given way to what we have at present.

Enjoy yerssen...

I was never enthusiastic about playing, it always seemed a chore..
Did play for my secondary school team though..
Played what they called up here -18s but lost interest..

I found other interests....

It were one of those sports where it was safer for others if I were on the bench. Couldn't play it if my life depended on it.
You did better than me! Chosen for the interform rugby because I was in the lightest class of the year. And the cross-country...

Interests that took you up hill, down dale and over fell to name but a few...

I wandered the local hills from an early age..
could honestly say I knew the area like the back of my hand....

A 'First' today...
Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight..
so thought i'd 'monitor' and see what i could 'see'...
I couldn't resist a call or two (3 actually)
(I've never tried transmitting this mode before)
bob msk.jpg

The one 'spot' near me would be ground wave, the Irish? could be be plane scatter but more likely meteor scatter BUT the Polish one, a genuine meteor reflection.... man, chuffed with the low, low power I use...a first for me.
I'll have a go early tomorrow morning as the shower is at its peak so.....
I'd line of five stations on my usual mode (VHF) all at same time with nothing else either side of it, very unusual into France...
Early night then

And now they're lead to believe that it's not safe to be in open space on their own.
I've been a wandering round the local parts since a similar age as yourself. Probably with the same results as yerssen.

A "first", this late!
Novel for you.

The Irish one seems to be in the Castlebar area, County Mayo. Far side of Ireland West(Knock) Airport. Very little from any direction other than the east.
Nice going by the way. Care to explain the text alongside each contact? And don't forget to award yourself a cold one for each genuine meteor reflection.
How early is early morning, daylight on the horizon?
And watch what you say when transmitting. There could be alien life using the meteor shower to get in.
Early to bed, early to rise...
