Very similar
Too mild though
Was too early to break out a winter duvet, eh?
12 mm of rain so far today.....
Within reach then.

The pupil became the the teacher. If you've not been using them, why do they need cleaning?
Wouldn't yer woods, and handles, dry out a bit too much.
All four balls hit from the same "best position" each time? Sounds fun, I'll give you that.
Good job you noticed before pressing Post then. Some weird suggestions being given of late by that.

Blimey, maybe take up something else that'd be safer. Like tightrope walking, between tall buildings, or something similar...
Hope yer not too busy for much longer, there's all those side projects waiting.

She on her own today, and watch yer flying...
Peace and quiet now....

30 mins in the door and two tubs of rasps and blackberries gone....
Scoffed by the two (with some help from Bob)..

I'll find out once I get to the driving range....
I do have to say I hit every par3 green in one that day

First rocket of the evening, no doubt there will be more..
Not a fan tbh...

Tightrope? nah, if I fell, I could flatten nearby cities..

Well, was it...
You know what'll happen if you remove it now though.

Enough to wet the pavements, very little else here.

They go of their own free will, saying they'll see you tomorrow?

Two tubs of each or two mixed tubs.
The second one and I'm surprised they lasted that long. With three helping themselves to the contents.

Just make sure you're at the correct end of the range! I could probably hit every par3 green as well. Not sure how long it take for each one, but I'd hit em...

They started Saturday here. Tonight is a warm up for the weekend. A "bring your own fireworks" bonfire planned.
I were never a fan of making the noise, just for the sake of it. Preferred to light the sky up, and stopped when that sort went out of fashion.
Currently caught in a threeway crossfire. Either side of the valley and those downhill firing uphill. All away from their houses.
Anyway, just think of all that money yer saving by not watching it go up in smoke. They don't come cheap these days.

That's as maybe, but it doesn't sound as painful as using the strimmer.

Shut the doors, windows and hunker down for the night, inside.

An early out this am,
Mrs M got the girls and we decided to head out to see the singing reindeer..
Grabbed some food as well.

Very little rain so far,
1mm only...

Night ended quietly..
Time to ban them.....

I used a strimmer for who knows how many years and never had a problem..
THEN.

How early?
The pair of you will have them confused, singing reindeer indeed.
It were paid for...

Fog came in late last night, still clearing now.
No rain, and more a summers day than a November day at present.

Continued well into the early hours, still the odd one going off after two this mprning.
Take the loud ones away from untrained hands...

And there's all those years with similar tools being used at work...
Just when you thought it were safe...

around 9am (I think)..
in before the rush of all these auld punters
Kids love them....(and me)
Heard a couple of bangs earlier and I guess the usual Saturday night bangs..

Aye, typical, I've hit some doozy stuff so just as well I used a full front visor.....
Funnily, it was scythes when I first started and tbh, a well-sharpened scythe and the proper action, a much better job....
only advantages were stones and obstructions..so a draw.
Nursey ra morrow.....

Just before school starting time...
In between two rushes, you time it well...
Nowt wrong with fresh fruit, especially when you get them for nothing. Which do they like more, free fruit or you?
Neighbour set one of those packs, where you light the blue touchpaper and retire, off not long ago. £75 wasted in less than ten minutes.
Friday and Saturday will be the big nights here.
The fog has returned, keeping people in.
You were probably told you were overreacting with the visor, when you bought it, for use in the garden.
And they were introduced with the emphasis on their safety over anything else.
Scythe, you used to carry one around! Not many would approach you carrying one, much less swinging one. A strimmer doesn't look as harmful. Metal blade on a petrol strimmer could have yer leg off if you hit a stone.

Nursery! You going or the Toodle Twins?

Our lot tried the metal serrated blades and unfortunately, one bloke had a couple of mishaps, so that got quickly binned...the three-blade ones too. Great machines, but the best machine introduced?
A blower...saved us brushing big time.
A good scythe operator could outwork a strimmer; most folk don't take long enough to sharpen the blade...
I meant the visor for work, many nasty surprises in the grass, in certain areas we worked, we wore the old style yellow peril oilskins in the winter and got hosed down

I'd like to see the costs of fireworks if they didn't get made in the far east...
There has been a push for a ban up here.

2.5 mm of the watery stuff, but now sunny,
noon appointment today, so I'd better go and get organised for Storm Toodles appearing....

Only ever seen the one near miss. One of the three blades broke, resulted in the lad using it being shaken a bit. Where the piece that broke went is anyone's guess. You'd love the ones the local council use, you get to sit down whilst using them. Either two passes on either side of the footpath or you use an arm to move the nozzle as you drive by.
But the scythe is a nasty, sharpened blade. You could have someone's leg(s) of with it! And there's the effort required to use it.
Dog droppings in the longer grass?

You wouldn't, yer jaw would hit the floor. £100 is considered cheap these days.
The same down here, but then they want organised displays only which councils don't like.

Foggy start to day, cleared to blue skies and now clouding over.
It'll probably chuck it down this evening.
Best o'luck with both of those...

We just went back to strimming gut....
Yoo hoo hoo it's a place full of stinky poo, in the days before bag your own....
Slugs, another problem...

I need to cut the grass as well...no shorts
Still 2.5 mm and was a decent day...

Banned by the local council, after one incident in which the person using it turned it on a person. All grass cutting is now done on ride on mowers, and other equipment.
If doggy doo's were yer biggest problem can I assume you never did any work near country lanes?

I'd say we're ahead on the rain front, even though it only started this afternoon. Started dry and sunny, then the fog came back to be replaced in part by rain. Now the fog is moving back in.
You cut the grass in no shorts, in this weather!
Are you feeling okay?
