It worked,
I still prefer the grey one, seems a better finish...
I'll be busy today again..
No wicked for the rest.

The Creality one obviously is a print speed difference but I had to double the wall thickness which slows it down a bit (on the finer items), the key base is okay...but I'll just set it to print at 4 instead of 2, makes life easier in the long run...Weird, once you install an update, its suppose to be better? not the last one..

Better go get the kettle ready, the apple and banana......
It did, and you up at two to check it had finished without sticking.
What colour did you do the one you don't like.
Doing nothing, you got yer stool/chair leg ready...
Any Kit Kat?

Is that the manufacturer of yer printer, or software writers.
I've always wondered about updates and who they're actually intended to work "better" for. End user or the manufacturer. Sometimes they're to fix a "fault" created by the previous update.
You have a workaround, that's the main thing. No thought required about buying a newer model, due to updates not working.
What'd the bumf that accompanied the update say it were for?

Whose the kettle for? I can work out the apple and banana...

Yep, all samples are away to get built..
Hopefully, near the end but finding it helpful but I'm sure it has to be the cold air in't garage.
I'm trying doing a base for myself tomorrow, grey or marble? we'll see..
More, may as well use up some of the older pla trying things....
The first line stood out, basically saying improving the finish (most likely the finish boo boo last update)

A cold, bottle awaits.....

Kettle? Granny has a :cuppa:

Back to biscuits like Custard Creams, Bourbon and their like...

You only supply the pieces, kinda like an Airfix kit...
Could it be a mix of the PLA and cold air. Does it give an operating temperature range for use?
Try the marble, grey is boring.
Using it on test pieces makes more sense than having to discard it. Maybe it could be the cold...
No good the pieces yer printing telling you to try better.
Boo boo update still in place and being used?

Was there anything in the cold bottle, now gone...

She never made you one! She were slacking...

Bourbon and custard cremes, what sort of biscuits have you been dining on these last few days, if you're back on those?

Yep...I make the basics and the creator adds his electronic bits....
You might have to wait until I get mine finished but lots of work to be done yet..
It really is impressive.

It should work but I'm leaning to wonder why it happens at the same places even with file (created on different progs), I'm using a textured plate (for the first time and it is showing the same stuff), no joy today ? I'll wait until daily temps are rising, it is 10.1c in the garage just now BUT I am wondering if it is a fan setting, maybe turning off the fan for the first layers, that's the next test and I will go back to the original setting of -1.60, which I have been using too and getting the same results...
Doing a marble one now, the others are a middle grey and look great, finish apart from the first layer is very good.

Brain frazzled so the rest of the day off after this print.

I'm prefer these biscuits esp as the choccy covered one have shrunk to almost one bite.

I have an audiobook to finish and have three days....

Mrs M has just burst and laughing and saying 'You wish !! when I said that to her...
I'm off to find out why as I hear her still laughing downstairs...;)

You printed the plastic internal parts as well. Did you find the four pins you mislaid, or print more.
Never heard anyone say that about a computer mouse before. The high-end gaming ones aside.

Does the textured plate affect the final finish of anything you print much? Always the same spot(s). Have you control over the areas being printed first. Rule out a timing possibility if you're able to start the print in the opposite direction.
Any further consideration on the shroud for the printer. Because if yer waiting on warmer weather, you might be awaiting a while.
You seem to have eliminated all possibilities, so what you're left with, however improbable, is yer suspect...
Said the marble would look better than grey.

Printer have you up in the early hours again. Rest yer frazzled brain and do something simple such as the times crossword in under ten minutes...

Even bourbons and custard cremes have shrunk over the years. If you remember that twix advert about snacks shrinking...

What happens if you haven't finished it in three days? Does it self destruct after giving you a warning.

Yep, found them amongst the other bits.
I never noticed any difference from a smooth plate, pint came off easier, maybe? after finishing...it's gold and shiny.
I'll use it for a few days, mind you I have nothing to do LOL.

I find it weird that the same spots but not in the textured plate but I tried two different plates, two different 'slicer' (programmes), I've now printed with three plates, two not perfect but one is well passable, weird.

The marble looks like a very weak flecked marble, if that makes sense
IMG_0661.JPEG

This'll do for me and the other pieces needed are being printed now, if all is well, no more printer for days, I need a break from it.
I must admit I liked the grey....
the off the wall colours, pink could look okay..

I actually have three days before my library loan runs out, 2 hours to go out of 12 hours, my next audiobook must be near getting to me...
The TV hasn't been on today, no Tube or anything......
I'm 50/50 on the shroud thing..

I just prefer the old basic biscuits....

Not the way I suggested then, the bare foot method.
The texture on the plate too fine to affect the printing then. Is there a lifespan on the plates?
Are the spots in the same area of the print? So if you rotated the print 90°, on the flat, the same spots would be elsewhere on the plate with or without the issue.
Giving yerssen and yer printer a rest! Be careful who hears you saying you've nowt to do. They might find you something!

When yer loan runs out, it'll refuse to play. So you'll never know who or how... How will you know when yer new book arrives, audio or visual notification.
Nowt worth watching, even if just to say, "seen it", "don't like it", "prefer the origional"...
50/50...
Would you be able to print with the shroud over the printer.

Nowt wrong with basic biscuits. Just don't run out of them.

The plates will depreciate over time, I still have the original one in use..
I got the texture one from the land across the sea, cheaply..
I'll use it just now..
Two samples coming up
This is the bottom of the one i posted last night.

Yesterdays with the, it wouldn't be seen under this non-slip material but I'd still be happy with it..
A previous one
IMG_0645.JPEG

The loose PLA strands are my fault, removing it too quickly from the hot plate, but now sandpapered down nicely but again it'll be covered by non-slip material, which is needed as when you use a finished one will move slightly forward as you use the mesh key...

Nothing on the go today, yet..
The shroud is meant for various thing, keep the surrounding air ambient plus there is a hose to take away any fumes as some materials has nasty fumes, PLA is considered safe...

WWA award thing on for the whole month on the radio so that's my time taken care off,
keep the mind ticking over....

The book has two hours left, I'll listen after lunchtime, mind you live cyclocross? mmm
A pop up on the phone lets me know, apparently I'm 3rd in line out of 17 and two copies are available so hopefully soon, may as well get something back from the council tax....Access to magazines as well, so why not..no, not Razzle:laugh:
Coffee time and mince pie, stay warm auld yin

The snow deep up those parts yet.
Yer keeping yer fluid levels up, good to hear...
Cold, even for them! At this rate we'll be out of brass monkeys before the month.
I dunno, just can't get the staff these days.
No, Sundays are worse than Saturdays.
We are only four days into the year to be fair.

Anything depreciates over time. Some have a set timespan, after which things will get worse. And not just yer household 3D printer.
Westwards or Eastwards.
Why'd it print at an angle, do you know?
Isn't a mouse supposed to be able to move to work, so why non-slip material on the base.

Seems the weather may be against you printing for the next few days. A bit of colder weather headed down from the north. Would a homemade one, to try and keep the temperature up be possible, and safe whilst printing.

WWA? The whole month. Who'll look after the Twins!
Something will keep that ticking over anyway. It really needs a decent rest, where it's not trying to work things out...

Two hours, did you finish it in time or get near the end and it stopped, dead.
He who lives by the phone...
Third out of 17 for either of the two available or just the one. You do right, they charge enough. I'm a wee bit suspect of the amount of information the council collects through the two apps they use to use ours.
You've tried looking then.
Coffee and a mince pie, can't be bad. I'll not go cold, don't worry...

nay, much just wee flakes.
I reneged on the telly, Cyclocross looked interesting and it was.
Played radio during it, 20 WWA contacts, voice and data so not bad....
Might look again after tea...

I did try print something but one part 'spaghettied', oh well...
Just a test piece *shrug*,

It's not a mouse, it's a morse key..dit dit dah dah dit dit
The gang? granny...
Angle, always try and use the flattest surface on the plate, the less I have to use 'supports' the better.

I'd another mince pie....

Were both done at the same time. Data when something interesting were coming up, voice when there weren't much happening?

Gotta love these highly technical terms in the 3D printing malarky.

The Gang found you something to keep you busy. Thought it were a quiet day. Granny, if you mean Mrs M, she'll find you something, no worries...
Looking at that piece you printed earlier, it seems as though the it's been placed at an angle to the two directions of travel(fore and aft, left and right) available to the printhead, with the bad spot appearing obvious.

Another cuppa to wash it down as well no doubt...
