You reckon we'll get a summer this year to replace!
Anything to stop them trying...
You saw a chance and you took it, good on you...

Why not...
To go with the other ones you have.

Just too warm for it here. Maybe the fog helped a bit, although I've been out in freezing fogs before today.

I could have been out 18 months earlier..
I regretted that later on..
Having fools and charlatans telling me wot to do? (except Supervisor, top bloke), the rest were f in useless, I used to receive copy and paste instructions from an ex Industrial Chemist, stopped when I called him out.
At one point, 1 in admin for every 6 manual workers, 4 supervisors, 4 managers for 60 odd folk with maybe another 30 folk in 5 months of the summer...nepotism was rife....

1.7c the noo (19.40), got to 11.4  just before 14.00....
Late tea, I better move....

Time off for good behavior...
Too late to do owt by then?
Sounds like the last two places I worked at. The idiots promoted to where they should have been safe for everyone else. Out to prove they were the best, and the rest wouldn't manage a day without them.
Management top heavy?

I'd say it struggled to get that low here. The fog hasn't shifted fully all day though. Fog, through to a mist, back to fog. Visibility at present, 75-100 yards in any direction.
Late tea, hope you weren't late for it...

'Allo 'allo, what's all this 'ere then?
Sleeping in?
Nope, hoping to wind up the neighbours by placing two life like hens on the grass
and removing a string of fairy lights from the back fence,
yeah, i know, late is better than too late, the batteries had ran out ages ago..
Stay warm and dry..

Good behaviour?
One twat manager tried to get me disciplined for leaving a mess at two shrub beds,
complaining about the cut at one and the amount of 'dead' stuff on the deck at another nearby.
I always took photos of jobs. start and finish because little stuff was happening by them up there as justification of their jobs...
I got hauled in by supervisor and told me about it all and gave me a letter to attend a hearing two weeks before i left...
He apologised for having to present the case against me but I said no worries.
The day finally arrived, my tablet and notebook with me, my manager (an industrial chemist) and a girl from HR was there.
My supervisor said his spiel and left..
I got asked about the first job, oh and I had taken broken hand tools (ordered by said manager) and explained my reasoning for doing the work I had did to the shrub bed and produced photos of job as it progressed. I showed the loppers which broke so easily etc, onto bed two, it was pruned okay but remnants of dead japanese knotweed was lying about a foot deep on the floor. 'Why you not clean this out?' 'It's against the law' I said, it is illegal to move any JK spoils unless it is bagged and destined for specialist disposal.
The HR girl turned round and said ' Why am I here?' It's obvious that (me) knew what I was doing and you didn't' 'waste of my time being here and yours too Robert' He said still had to look at the evidence and decide he said, the girl said 'Are you joking?'..
I got an apology (of sorts).
I said to him 'remember what I said you once in jest, this time I mean it?' and the other little twat? got a short and sweet visit the morning I left......
Left with a clear record

Lowest it got overnight was 4c just after 3am, now 6.4c and balmy...
Got this from a pal last night

You had a lie in!
Wrong size key. How life like were the hens, and did they cluck.
You should have left them 'til Candlemass...
You'd time yet, Could you have left them in place all year round. removing the batteries until needed?
Batteries running out on yer, and you allowed it...
T'ain't too bad here, almost into double figures by 8 am.

Well did you ever take revenge on any of them?
Trying to prove they knew better than you.
Always handy taking pictures of before and after. Especially when there's idiots "in charge" above you.
Not the best of ways to finish, wondering what had been said behind yer back.
Wonder how big they felt after the meeting...
Arraign a meeting, booking time to attend, and then they wonder why.
Do you know if he lasted long after you left.
If the apology were from the manager, I'd not have accepted it.

Perils of a council job. Always someone wanting the foreman's job.

Too foggy to see owt these last few nights.
Decent picture.

Not doing anything back can be more effective than actually doing something.
They'd have been trying to knock you once, to prove their superior knowledge, to others.
Ex supervisor, he get demoted as a result or ex as in after you left.
They knew who to look to/for when they wanted something doing then...

Eleven years and yer still not slowed down yet. Yer goin wrong somewhere...
You'll not see any of them now you've moved on, to pastures new. Or have less chance of bumping into them.
Sounds a busy day just keeping them happy and away from yer porridge.
She'll be hungry when she comes home from nursery as well.

The fog stopped anything, especially like what you posted, being seen down these parts.

I did get an invite to work the summer months..
job was mostly based on what I best....
but thanks, but no thanks.
Every job I worked from leaving school I took every extra hour available, for 30 odd years I did a minimum of 53 hours a week and occasionally did more, always paid for everything,
I'm enjoying being busy again albeit babysitting.....with the gruesome twosome:laugh:

6.1c just now, got down to 4.9 low at 9.03 am:eek:
Some rain, sky was active again overnight now back to just active....
Storm watch still active to 18.00 tonight
HF blackout just now, bands are quiet although may pick up..
Off to find something to do..

You ever regret not going back on those times you were asked. If only to pass on yer skills to the next lot.
Careful in accepting overtime as it seldom paid that well, or they'd say you weren't required, when you'd rearranged things to fit in the overtime.
Did do a month of 90+ hours a week, excluding breaks. It weren't fully appreciated by them.

The Gruesome Twosome their new name now? Just how hard can babysitting be! They're even brought to you, find their way to you...

We were still warmer than you overnight. What the day brings is another matter. Started wet, heavy rain turning to drizzle and they say it'll dry by this evening.
You manage to catch site of any of the going on's up there?
Doesn't something to do find you...
