He's semi retired from it,
I've been on Snowdon twice, once by choo-choo.
I've only ever bought mugs from the summit, the original one got smashed so last time I got two...
I prefer the hilltop stuff tbh...
Might be well past that as well, I prefer the VHF aspect as height helps greatly, HF (shortwaves)? , I can get the same results from the bottom of the hill.
No, funnily never made High Street..
across the valley did Stony Cove Pike but the usual NW and W fells like Blencathra, Skiddaw, Helvellyn , Scafell Pike (im my 60s I may add and much earlier too), been tramping the Lakes fells since 1979 (none last year BUT)

No, the Twins will stay. If the ferries got back to reasonable pricing, Donegal would be a destination. I think I've mentioned about (before) planned cycle from Larne/Belfast to Donegal around the NW roads but priced it up, and for the ferry fare alone, we got the ferry from Oban to Mull and back, three nights B&B plus most of the meals for cheaper than the Norn iron ferry fare so Mull got a circuit.
Strange sign in Mull...(may have changed)

Is he showing any signs of slowing down though!
Weren't that yer last, and most expensive time, up the top of that hill in Wales?
You still have both...
You get to see all the "ants" running round lower down. And the views on a clear day at the top, thrown in fer free...
I'd say yer not alone in not getting there, despite the mentions it gets in route guides. Always seemed quiet compared to elsewhere.
Age is but a number...

You think leaving them would go down well, with them. Imagine the singing on the ferry.
I think they're on the losing side of a fare battle with the airlines. They'll just not admit to it. If covid, and the lack of passengers, couldn't bring fares down, what'll it take?
Donegal, Ben Bulben summit on yer bucket list...
Staying on this wee island is getting dearer every year as well. You could be back camping before you know it, all due to cost.
Mull might get another circuit from yerselves then.
Town Twinning?

Aye, same hills year after year I suppose..
Being in the shadow of THE Ben, I guess the temptation has gone..
Me, leg.....
Although stealth trip coming up, don't mention it.....

Mull? been round it in a Landy and much later on a bike..
Twice maybe enough but the Outer Hebrides, who knows but the logistics after the last time..Jeez.

Nope, no Bulben, ferry fare the killer as I can get much better options a wee bit south, at what I got the latest for, 3 trips...short breaks our thing.
I might still be seeing nursey then.

I thought that was Twinning, don't mind if I do :cuppa:
Another wet day, only 0.5 mm so official

A repeater, does he do them in the same order each year do you know. Lost, and doomed to wander the hilltops of europe for ever more...
You know you're going to have to take a stroll up, if for no other reason than to get out of its shadow. The radio and everything else could be carried by yer two "sherpa's".
You'll have to take yer leg. After all the support it's given you over the years, you can't leave it behind. That'd be unfair.
I'll not tell a soul, nay worries.

Mrs M driving the Landy?
What's yer plan for reaching the Outer Hebrides, and if you make landfall there.

I was sorta thinking if you got that far, you might as well make a trip to the neighbouring County and transmit from another Ben.
Sounds as though the ferry is out then.
Might still be seeing nursey, I thought you were getting better!

Aye Twinning not Twinings, enjoy.

Damp with the fog making another appearance.

Yep, he was keen....
My sherpas are being left at home...we have to have some time off..
Have some compassion...

It is improving, I'm just preplanning ahead in case.
I have to book at end of month for the next month appointments..
Nah, it was a pal we were there for to activate the highest point on the island and the usual daft stuff.....we glamped (if you call it that)

Big one is a nursery pupil now...
Yes, I hid behind the door.. ready to go..
It's a hard life..
Roadworks everywhere (must be near end of budget waste of money time), you don't use it you lose it jobs) so time to make an appointment was tight...

Catching him up now if he's slowing down. Or there's queues waiting to go up that are slowing him down.
I was thinking about yer ascent of The Ben , that you live in the shadow of. Not Ben Bulben.
Oh I do, I do, believe me...

Look on the positive side. It's gonna get better.
A months appointments in one go. That's some going.
And did you manage to activate it? You mean like getting lost in the pub car park...
Posh stone bothy?

She still enjoying it, now she's there full time.
And they still managed to find you. All good news I hope. Did you go laddie go...
Well someone has to do it, you were there...
They've been popping up all over this last year down here. Town centre is nigh on impossible to get into, or out of should you manage to get in. And this isn't yer use it or lose it type of work. We've another five years of it.
You made it, in the nick of time though?
