Good morning from a petrol poor area, apparently...
Cars are probably wasting more looking for it..

How are you all?
Fine I hope...
Young 'un is here keeping us both on our toes
Yer running out of petrol!
Aye, as they go from petrol station to petrol station to find the cheapest. Always found it odd, that part of car ownership.

Ironic that it came from Ireland though, given he wasn't the only one with Irish ancestry/Irish.
You'll have to find it now. You'll be wondering where it was, was it really there unless you do.
They went where ever they could get food, or where living was possible after the famine. Is that why yer drawn to Guinness, Irish ancestry in yer blood.
If he never MADE it, he's certainly responsible for saving it, and those that were rescued. Turning lifeboats into shelter, repairing the one they used to get help. Much like many of those lower down not considered important. Until their skills are required.

Bit of a traffic jam in the Himalayas...

Aye, I assume he had Irish ancestry.
The Port had a history of Irish incomers.
Many folk have written since of his invaluable contributions have massively improved the chances of survival (of all) and not of his boat work...
Yer right, the common man only has his uses..
Too many of that type led fated expeditions..

Other part of order has landed at PIK, which surprised me, I thought the main place for incoming goods was darn sarff....

That'll be waiting for the permit required to cross them. You might be a while in that case.

Loads came over for the harvests, and the fishing industry.
He were only a lowly ships carpenter, nothing major in the actual expedition. But it's that sort of person who can often get a workaround or repurpose something.
Often those that led, did so because of money not because they could.

Now's the time it'll take the longest to get to you, having landed so close. My money is on next week for delivery to you.

Hillary Step or what is left of it...big bit fell off it during an earthquake
Free postage, they'll make nothing out of this...
My lot came over and it was mill work, a ropeworks plus all the maritime work, shipyards and other stuff.
More likely mentioned this to you before, good read is 'Children of the Dead End' by Patrick MacGill, 'novel' which drew heavily on his own story before his dramatic change in fortune. An excellent read.
I remember hearing a Radio Scotland version of it but that was yonks ago, plenty online about Mr McGill, worth the read..
Tell her she can't play with it now, until she pays you. I'm sure you could think of soe form of acceptable payment.
Bob the builder to her rescue.
It may take some fixing due to screw sizes and thinness of board.

Earthquake, you could be waiting a while in that case. Roads out, that sorta damage...
You wonder how they make any money at times.
Dirty, but skilled work. No slacking in those places. Too dangerous.
Might have to try and get a copy, see if it's as good as you say.

A new delivery fellow...maybe the wrong SatNav route?
One day closer...
Mind you Royal Mail delivering once it reaches the UK so more delayed days,

Superglue? very small screws ripped out of thin board, I'll look for other screws first then yoo hoo hoo it as a last resort.

Whilst we are on heroic figures,
Maurice Wilson, one of Yorkshire's finest (or daftest, depending on how you look at him)
I mentioned him before, wot a bloke....
Up there with Sir Geoffrey....
Trouble approaches soon..
I better be ready to head down and open the door or I'm getting called on...

(I couldn't resist the No Doubt gif)

Good morning from a sunny but chilly Towers :hello:
A day to start off with:cuppa:..
It's the one day of the week we have three g/kids at the same time...
It gets noisy, chaotic...
Owdo from a sunny west West Riding
Nothing stronger required, what with three g/kids there all at the same time. Possibly with chocolate being hidden.
Noisy, chatotic and then you burst into song?

Hopefully nothing like the one that "delivered" a parcel to me on Tuesday.
Appears to have lost his van...
They're all getting as bad as each other these days.

Reinforce the inside, for the next time, or say "Bob no fix".
Screws and board just strong enough under normal use? Lost the original ones.
None of the stuff that locks tight, before you attempt to yoo hoo hoo it.

Same monied background there though. "Rebelling" against a system that didn't want him as part of it.
Trouble found you...
You've not put the "Closed" sign on yer door! Were you being called upon...

Wee yin was behind the wooden table where the doll's house was and heard granny approaching and tried to turn round and the dolls house went flying, all okay except the part of the roof that lifts up, two hinges, three screws in each, I have the screws but a bit too loose when I screwed one in to try on each hinge.

Maurice was straight out of 'Boy's Own'..
if he had been that monied, the then 'only give the funds to those of higher class' might have funded him, he beat all odds to get there...one of my favourites.

Chaos away with granny so I potted up 20 odd sunflower seedlings, tubbed up some seed potatoes and watered the sweet peas. I found out that I rather stupidly left the hose gun attached over the winter, new one needed.
It now means minus 10c tonight then?

Two diferrent deliveries today

Sounds as though she knew she shouldn't have been there, and wanted to avoid being caught. What about using nuts and bolts, instead of wood screws. Bolt through to the nut on the inside, if only on one of the three for each hinge.

His methods were a bit unconventional, and if the money wasn't there, there's a good chance he'd have been in the big building up Mentson way.

Mayhem were with yerself, doing the potting up. You reckon on having enough spuds for a decent meal this time. Yer sweet peas been seen yet, by small hands?
It's not as though you really needed a hosepipe for the last part of last year either. Hosepipe survive intact over winter.
Wouldn't surprise me if it did drop that low now were on BST.

Were both expected...

Good morning folks 🚴‍♂️

Hope everyone’s rolling out to a cracking start today! Whether you’re chasing miles, dodging the wind, or just enjoying a gentle spin, hope the legs are strong and the roads are kind.

Stay safe out there, mind the potholes, and enjoy every turn of the pedals.

Catch you all later 👍
(a lazy Bob today)
