Good Friday morning :hello:
I'll not see you in the peasouper here at the Tower....
Visibility isn't that good..
Enjoy your day..
Owdo this fine Friday morn...
You want to be careful then. Anyone could sneak up on you unseen.
Down to under fifty yards earlier, now clearing.
Sun poking through.
I'll try, promise....

A game of two halves?
And when yer old stock is used up, they become obsolete...
I'd seen it at the local Currys, when they were doing a demonstration day. Nowt on spools available to buy, from them. All loosely coiled awaiting the spools. Didn't do a very good job on the day. One kept on blowing a fuse, another did everything but what they said it would do.
How long does 300 metres last, once you start printing.

Would that be by appointment only...

It'll turn up on the last day they have before they have to pay a penny.

Nearby depot sounds a lot better than yer other package.

It depends on the job what length it uses,
I'll look at the two halves of the refill spools I printed,
Pt 2 spool.jpg

That's one part, I'll find the other later. The other I think will be more...
so at 26.28 m , I get app 12 pieces, using the 1 kg total weight of material, roughly 12.75 piece.
Ignore the cost, I haven't set the cost of a spool yet...

Pt 1 spool.jpg

Not much difference between the two then.....
Just done a check, 90p per side so 1.80 per spool, possibly just under 2 british quids when electricity if factored in

Sorta figured out a smaller job would use less than a big one. Yer not likely to use a whole spool on one job though, given what you've shown about the supports.

You've lost one already! You'd barely got beyond cleaning it up.
Not tempting fate in case the price goes up.

Not much indeed. Does printing at night make it any cheaper?

Late arrival back....
Roads very quiet heading down..

Off to grab some scran, not the usual as we have a smidgen of milk:cry:

Owdo :hello:
Thought you were having the first of yer lazy days yesterday. I thought you'd have been lying out in't garden enjoying the sun...
Yer thinking about a highland invasion with these trips NE?
Not that late that you missed yer nap time I hope...
You didn't do the usual navigation game of a left turn followed by the second right, pushing yer distance up.
Hopefully yer milk supply issues will have been sorted by now, ready for tomorrow and yer scran was up to scratch.
The same to you, on this lazy weekend.

Good, now get out in't garden and enjoy the sunny weather...
Glitches, everything should be running as normal...

If I used a spool on one job, I'd wonder how.
Plate is slightly bigger but not by much.
I ordered band specific PLA to try....
I'm trying to 'empty' older spools with some on it,
see images below (I'm going back to delete any posted this week to save space,
be back soon....

Just wondering, out loud, how far the one spool would take you. Mainly because of the supports on pieces you've shown. They seem to take/use more than the actual piece.
Is it self levelling like yer previous one?
Bay City Rollers or U2...
Makes sense to use up what you have before it "goes off".
Does deleting pictures actually save anything?
I'll be waiting...

After 'loading' the model file into the 'slicing' program, you do your tweaks, mostly I change the walls from say 2 to 4 for more strength, then you hit 'slice' and it does its magic and works out everything and also the length of material needed and then approx the weight of it.
Prefer the Rollers, more UPoo got so far ahead with themselves, their heads got stuck somewhere.

Did another buildplate cleaner and was left with just under a metre of PETG so as i mostly use PLA, it got binned..
I'm on lunches today so off to cut some freshly made bread....

Can understand changes where you want more strength. Be a bit of a pain in the rear if you ended up printing it twice. The program show you where all the supports are required, and you add them or does it add them for you.
Can understand your choice of B.C.R., although they did just seem to fade away.

Problems with the plate, or just using up the ends to clean it.
You making the lunches or eating them?

Did I mention yon YouTube short of the PLA spool, over 1.4 k views:eek:
I'll take that, most views out of the shorts I have posted...
Dat'll do me...

Supports, it will put supports on some smaller stuff and will warn you that some supports are needed, track down down Supports, I use Tree Auto which works out where to put them, I find tree is the easiest to work and remove,
I'm basically using the suggested settings and TBH no problems so far, one failed print but as everything looked at, it had to be a flaw in a length of PLA on the spool, I finished the last half of spool with no problem, the Red PLA in video.
I'll avoid that make..

Celebration time....
Da boom boom tish !
The overland spool is in Edinburgh and will be hopefully moved to my local one tomorrow...
Making some boxes for my camera lens filters the noo, must she the Boss for some material to line the bottom of each section.

I've made changes to my cleaning regime,
washing up liquid (or as they say, dish soap),
rub all over the plate then dab kitchen towel into water and clean and dry off.
The daily soul food to prepare..

Good Sunday morning to y'all :hello:
Dull and dreary:cry:
Lazy day ( apart from proposed cutting of our postage stamp)
Ow's tha doing
Started that way here, give it time. I'd say you'll be complaining it's too warm by 12:00.
Another lazy day, you've had a few of these of late. And busy, doing one thing or another, on nearly all of them. Down with "Lazy Days" I say. Shouldn't take you that long then you can get yer summer chairs(recliners) out and soak up the sun.
