Getting texts..no calls yet on allegedly ported number but as they did say 48 hours (which is bull TBH) I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, had a four bar earlier, plane was very close by so most likely reflection.....but 2 to 3 which will do, normally I'd be on wifi calling at The Towers...EE is mince and even away from here it says 5g and you wait, wait and wait. Girl who took my call , didn't raise another retentions offer (well used word this week) when I said piss poor signal.....
I'd another go with the AI wifie, she actually caught my security answer but spoiled it all by repeating, pulling up yer details for about two mins....
Network went downhill when EE bought the UK part of Orange, and again when they'd switched all accounts to EE from Orange. They all became pants when the 3G network was switched off.
"Excellent 4G coverage inside and out" where in reality there was none. Relied too heavily on their 3G network, which to be honest wasn't as bad as some of the other networks. Now they keep on telling me to turn to WiFi calling, paying them to use another network, which I've to pay to use. No free calls via their much vaunted public WiFi.
I've line of sight of two of their masts, and seldom get above 50% signal strength at home. Yet to get a "5G" notification, four being the best to date.
The call centre staff don't seem to bother with trying to keep customers these days. Stopping short of actually telling you to go to another network, if it's that bad.
An AI wifie! Is Mrs M aware of this...
Two things I hate when phoning anywhere these days are the automated switchboards, "please listen to the following options before selecting". Made worse by use of AI that is about as much use as a chocolate teapot for brewing a cuppa in. Fails to recognise you've actually chosen an option, and/or what was said. Telling you just before it cuts you off...
My lot? Antrim area....
I was talking to someone and asked what part of NI they came from, I said hey, my relatives came from there and he said oh boy...apparently some dodgy far and distant ones about. Two of the families came over around famine time and took almost two tenements by an old gas works, smelly or whit.. my going back was only ever parents etc, none of this chasing all siblings.
They did adhere to the old system of naming kids after , you know what I mean and a lot of cousins were family Christian names and the same with their families.
6.9mm so far....
the birds had one look but around the corner, one food bin got opened and ragged....
I stayed in as man with radiator appeared after two'ish......
Off to log and then going to wonderland..
Up the north of the island then. For some reason I'd placed you down the Waterford area or the midlands. And that's not just from yer fishing stories.
Now, be honest, if you didn't have one or two dodgy ones you'd be disappointed. Are these dodgy ones still topside or long gone...
The dodgy ones I know about all got free trips abroad, either America(Texas and Nova Scotia, depending on which side) and later Australia. Recent family finds have been on one side, all in Australia. They got there for nothing. Spread far and wide, across five continents at present. Some, like yours left around the time of the famine, and in the immediate aftermath. Others forced to move on, headed east to Wales and Lancashire.
I'm lucky if you like, in that one side of the family have had their entire family line going back over a 1,000 years written down. In six complete volumes. Send them the details you do have and they can name each and every family member that was ever recorded. Some dispute now on which is the older lineage, Yorkshire or Cambridge with about a 100 years difference.
Smelly gas works, you sure they were using the right type of gas.
Familiar with the naming system. Seldom referred to by own name when over there, and when I am it sounds like an insult. Named after either my uncle and his grandfather or my grand dads brother. Three names and they all get used.
We'd rain between 1pm and 5pm yesterday evening. Not certain of how much fell due to the Belisha Beacon type of rainfall.
Your bin stayed untouched, this time. Give them time, they'll work out how to open them.
Radiator, in "Flaming June"!
Were it at least cheap due to the time of year.
Logging long done and you'll be zzzz'ing away by now.
