That was fun Rob, we actually did some proper drafting like the grown ups at the front do. Sadly being a bit of a twonk I had zoomed in on the top bit of the screen so I could just watch the drafting closely and then when you whizzed off up the road and I struggled like mad to keep up it very slowly dawned on me that wasn't you! Sorry about that.[/QUOTE
Well it seamed i was drafting u more yes its good for us yellow shirts to have ago
Ur just a bit to quick once u gone there was no chance i was going to catch up but any how im up about 3 minutes from Thursdays ride cheers for the help

That course was horrible i just can't keep up the speed for so long the only place that i enjoyed <-- was the hill i knew i could make it up.
Well done Rob for staying out so far in front i don't know how you can do it.

And thanks Kipster for the kind words:okay:

not too bad on the flats its the hill I struggle with but that was no problem for you

Well done everyone. Well done LB. I slungshot in desperation at the bottom of the hill knowing that I had little real fight left in me. Was just hoping that you didn't either.
For some reason the drafting didn't seem to be working very well. I wasn't sure if you were trying to draft or not Lars.
Unfortunately the usual group wasn't there for additional drafting support.
Thanks for all the spectator comments. And, I do wish I had a heart rate monitor linked up and I probably wouldn't get so many comments about pulling the finger out .
I had a pretty tough race Thursday against Bill the farmer, and a tough outdoor yesterday, so I was feeling pretty knackered, so yes, I was trying to get some drafting going.
Thanks for sticking with me :okay:, think I would have bailed out if had been on my own.

Think you and I must be in a slightly different time zone Rick, Got into the race with a couple of minutes to go by my watch to see 15 seconds on the timer. Resulted in a fair bit of swearing and leaping onto my bike / turning the fan on / setting AC/DC going on spotify all at the same time.

Worked well didn't it, Rod wasn't getting away from us yet when I ended up on my own I couldn't stay with him.

 only started it about 45 secs early I reckon. I usually do that to be fair, as people are chomping at the bit to join from 7pm sharp usually.

I looked to me like you and Antonio were drafting very effectively for ages, but when he caught me up I couldn't stay with him.

Not sure my HRM does much good. My legs limit my heart rate.

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
Liz Armistead, World Champion, wins the womens race, solo, and Peter Sagan, World Champion, comes second (again) in the mens.but Greg Van Avermaet actually wins and doesn't come second (again). Luke Rowe, Sky, was in the leading 5 that battled for the sprint but missed the podium.

Bill, I was watching your speed spikes going into climbs and they were awesome.
I just can't do those with my current Pro on 3.02sw but could come close on my Classic.
I don't know whether it's timing or technique or both but it's no wonder I struggled keeping with you in Stage 2.

When he caught you he had just got a couple of seconds away from me and even trying to the point where I expected to get a text message from my lungs telling me to stop being silly I just could'nt get back with you both and you steamed off up the road.

I had been quite a cynic about drafting but actually today showed me that it really does make a difference.

I would have been a little more vocal in my support, but my iPad kept hoofing me out of the spectator gallery.
That, and the fact that the rugby was getting a bit tense!

I noted that since the last bkool software update, I have a couple of issues with bkool. The first is with these blue numbers for speed. I did a velodrome session today. At the start I set off and watched my speed go blue instantly. I pedaled like mad upto 130 rpm developing lots power, but it was nearly 30 secs before the speed turned white at 15mph. What is going on, that is not even realistic?

Second I now need to push alot more power to generate the same speed, obvious in the velodrome It was also noticeable on the last chaingang which was very flat so was easy to compare against other riders.

Realistically the speed now is more realistic to outdoor speeds on the flat and climbs, but are wrong for descents where I can hit ridiculous speeds without even trying as the numbers are blue.

I think bkool need to look at their latest update and sort out this blue number issue. I am not bothered about the reduction in speed, I will hopefully adapt and get stronger

No comment on points 1 & 2, however we're mainly blokes in here, so cant admit to not knowing anything about bikes, we would never rely on google to try and figure out what someone else was talking about

Its much the same as we dont need those useless bits of paper that companies supply with everything, you know the things, instructions or something....

About the rubber spray, move it further from the wall, under no circumstances banish him the garage. They are lonely grey places full of spiders and other scary things, and tools and other distractions......

And :welcome:
Garage...

Not an option for me!!!

Andy, I see you have a KICKR and until recently KICKR riders got no freewheeling and downhills were like flats so at least there is a move in the right direction.

I see you are 95kg so you will descend pretty quick compared with us lighter riders.

Do you accelerate immediately on a descent or do you acclerate slowly?

On my Classic I used to immediately go to my max slope speed but now with my Pro I accelerate to it,perhaps slower than reality.

I am suprised you get any blue speeds in a velodrome session as this should be only for slope transitions, steeper slopes and descents so that is an anomoly that needs reporting.
