This second photo taken of the 3 amigos after the ride goes some way to explaining how bridgy came home first.

The sneaky devil seems to have discovered some kind of time portal.

Is this the 3 of you then? F#ck, no wonder you're all faster than me on the Bkool rides ... you look like proper cyclists! In comparison I really am a fat bloke sweating on a bike in a spare room :mrpig:

That's us! Adam's the ridiculously tall one, I'm the one in white and Bill's in blue. That photo was taken before the ride, hence the happy, relaxed demeanour!

Haha! Adam and Bill had a welcoming committee and were escorted to the finish line by Adam's boys, who then generously awarded all three of us with medals!

This picture (of me) shows how fantastic the scenery (and the weather!) was that day:-

I have felt like that a few times early on. I have done 3 hundred milers before my accident but not with 12k ft of climbing. Chapeau to you all who took part

Well I'm back home after a couple of hundred miles over 2 full days and 2 half days. I may have eaten several hundred thousand calories but by my logic I have also burnt plenty off.

Brilliant scenery, lots of tough off road sections but nothing that a fatkins like me couldn't get through. Not sure if I should wash or burn my clothes, today spent 20 miles on a route called the Cinder trail which is basically made of soot, unsurprisingly I am quite sooty.

Well done @Soarerv8 - I'm very envious of your few days of wandering around on your bike!

+1 looks like you've had lovely journey. And definately put in enough miles to justify the calorie intake. Well done!

@Soarerv8 - Enjoyed your daily updates, sound like you had a great time out there, and you certainly managed to pick some decent weather.

I think I'll have to attempt something similar later in the summer when I finish work.

How did you go about it? - Did you head north on the train, and then make a leisurely ride back home to your country estate. Did you pre-book your stop overs or just find somewhere to kip when you'd had enough for the day.

Definitely go for it onto my 8th year of doing it and brilliant fun.

Did a blog a few years ago about preparing for it and then doing it. The usual sort of nonsense I spout out on here have a look if you are very bored, will show if I can do it anyone can!

I would normally go for a ride outside in this lovely weather on a day like today but my wife's out and I'm on solo parenting duties so I will hopefully be there in Bkool world instead Bill!
