Have we decidied who is going to open the newly-refurbished cafe?

We could ask Gordon Brown, but he'd probably dissuade many from attending, and anyway I think he's got a bit on his plate just now.
There's Sir Chris Hoy (genuflect), but he wouldn't be able to squeeze his thighs through the door.
Bonj......well he wouldn't be able to squeeze his ego through the door.
Victoria Pendleton........no, she'd be mobbed by slobbering maniacs in Lycra....and me, come to think of it!
Oh ok, how about her madge? Do we have time to paint the bike racks with gold paint and the Royal Crest?

My Mum is a pretty good lookalike for the Queen, shall I give her a call?

I'll ask, it depends how busy she is. Her chocolate cake is very good.

Ok, well, I'm off home to guzzle pasta. Is there a dress code tomorrow?

Arch- so pleased yo can make it... the tinsel would be good but gold and yellow only if you can... we'd be dlighted to meet your mum! As far as the re-opening goes I think we'd all be honoured if you would do it in celebration of your new job.

Great job on the bike rack Gerry... should be some petty cash left for the gold paint [but keep the receipt for Accounts]

Trevor McDonald asked if he could pop in with a team from ITV News [he's got his own lighting gantry for the disco after...]. Dayvo's flying in with Agnetha for a sing song later.

We've set aside a Youth Club area with Joe's Lazy Boy connected to an X Box 360 playing Sounds from the 70s... please bring any CDs you'd prefer instead! [Better check the public Licence....perhaps Stephens in Legals could check?]

Anyone heard whether Waffly can make it with the cake? ....all those lemony ones would tone well with the yellow and white theme and the curtains Speicher made. I particularly like the yellow checked tablecloths [the Monday Lunch Chess Club will find them a boon].

Dell's special Earl Grey blend is in the Doulton tea caddy and the other 35 selections are neatly contained in the Rington's Centenary Speciality Tea Caddies display which is nice of them.

Jane's coffee maker is behind the piano as a special concession... the Colombian Blend was detained by the Drug Squad at Heathrow but we got some nice Arabica beans which Jack found.

Pleased Arch got the penguins to finish off the pool cleaning. Helen's spent hours training them as waiters but they keep scoffing the smoked salmon nibbles. All in all it should be a good bash.... 7 for 7:30 tomorrow when we'll open with User482's Corporate Team's Champagne Reception. Thanks to everyone for their hard work... hope Admin's reboot goes smoothly in case you have any last minute suggestions?

Mort, please collect the Cheggers poster from Security.... they've been using it for target practice as they're taking on the Ashford Office Post Room in the Darts League Finals on Thursday.... [tickets still available for the minibus].

The Tearoom is closed for cleaning but will be open from 7.30 am sharp on Wednesday so please report any breakages before the party. TVC has filled several thermos flasks if you need a cuppa through the night.

See you tomorrow!

I humby offer many apologopolies. I have a prior assignation tomorrow evening, so my arrival will be on the latish side - I have yet to delegate the presentationising of the buffet. Any volunteers.

BTW Archie tect, the curtains have Sunflowers on them, not fried eggs.

 On second thoughts they have sunflowers and eggs on them - I wonder who did that?

Sunflowers? My mum loves sunflowers! .... genius, thanks Speicher.

Hope you can make it for the disco.... Bonj's 12 inch single of "Uptown Top Rankin" went down a storm at the Tube Welders Reunion.

You seem to have overlooked the fact that storms are not allowed in the Tea Cup Room.

The enfoced closure of the Tearoom yesterday was sadly outside the control of the Beverages Committee, though it was unfortunate that having lost the key to get in at 9.40am yesterday we couldn't fire up the urn until everyone had gone home....
Cake's in fridge arch if you want another slice. As the tearoom is now open again this notice board has served it's purpose and will be removed in due course by the Admin Coordination Working Group.

Thanks for all your help, especially catching the penguins.
