What the hell does diabetes have to do with a pothole?

Like has been said, typical blame culture gone nuts..............again.His mum looks aright sour faced moose too.

Exactly. My type 1 son beat two adult CCers on a 250m flying lap of the Velodrome. I suspect its an ambulance chasing claim

I dunno, I rather get the impression she feels that "sour faced moose" is the correct expression for the occasion. I'm sure she's delightful in real life.

We all fell off our bikes as kids, and attempting to blame it on that minor surface imperfection just seems wrong.
Yep, plenty of bike related mishaps and scrapes as a kid (and some of us are still at it @fossyant ). If one of my lads came home with a similar story I'd be telling them to stop being fecking ejits and look where they are going in future!

Yep - local papers always make you do stupid expressions and stances for photoshoots. I got asked recently to "do ta-da" as if it were a perfectly normal request that I could be expected to understand.

Oh diddums, did he fall off his bike. They should see some of the potholes around here. There is one on our road deep enough to lose that Trax in. Oh, OK maybe not quite that deep but it's a good 4" deep and the size of a serving platter. Been there since December.

I have learning difficulties but can managed to stay upright on a bike. They look like sue-ers.

show us your "ta-da" face.
I said "I'm sorry?"
She said, "You know, TA-DAAAA!"
I said "We don't really do that."*

*I did, though, in the end.

Most over dramatic 'news' story I think I've ever read!

Since when did falling off your bike mean you get or feel entitled to cash?!

I also suspect he had less than the recommended number of hands on the bars at the time. Or less than the recommended number of eyes on the road ahead.

My new commute has some dreadful bits of road, which I negociate on a Brompton. While a nice smooth road would be nice, I reckon the council have more important things to fix (although I'm not saying they are doing them either!) and a bad road helps to keep car speeds down a bit.

How on earth did that cause an accident?

Why do they always have "learning difficulties"? Is it because that is what they are getting benefits for? Probably just got naughty child syndrome!
