If that's a pothole then the road outside my house is a stage from a 6 day trial event.
I get the gut feeling its part of a campaign to ridicule compensation claims for injuries in the eyes of the public cos everyone who sees that will be going "that's not a pot-hole" and the family are being duped by the paper who may well have 'suggested' the compensation claim to the family.

I ride over worse than that on 23mm tyres and fixed gear. It's not a pot hole. Claim culture. Living not far from there, that certainly isn't a hole, and the council rejected the claim quite rightly so. I've smashed a fair few wheels on pot holes in the area, and I've not 'claimed' for them - that's life. God help the lad if he went into the woods.
