Evening all.

Few weeks back IIRC I wrote about my eldest daughter's friend who after a party in Oxford came back to ours for a sleepover and promptly threw-up all over our brand new cloakroom, not in the toilet... over the whole room.
C'est la vie.

Tonight I had to rescue my usually relatively abstemious daughter (16 this week) from a party where it seems she has over-indulged a tad. "She's never ever ever going to get like that again apparently..."
Mmmm, where've I heard that before?
We all did it, at least she had the sense to call-us. She'll feel carp in the morning!

They're good kids, they'll learn.

Will you be cooking her a full breakfast in the morning? <Remember to rattle the frying pan lots ;)>

Unlucky for your floor Fab - don't suppose I thought about minutiae like that when I was busy puking up at a tender age.
The only difference is they are daughters. They need a bit more protection and respect than that which is given to boys. Must be worrying but I'm sure you'll do the 'right thing' for her as you come across as the sensible sort on here...

...actually, that's where it's all going wrong! ;)

Take care little foodies.

Cheers guys
Yep, gonna have the cooker on early 'cos we're feeding a shedful of family tomorrow so there's lots of early toil in the kitchen!
She's in good hands, she's in my bed with her Mum now so I'm gonna hit the Sofa (I can't be arsed to climb into her high-level bed), she'll have learned her lesson in a good way and will also know her parents do a good recovery service! I guess you worry more about girls and also about your first child too, but she's normally a sensible sort. It's a minor indiscretion in my book, nothing to get excited about. All part of growing-up.

It's all a part of growing up FF, but let's hope tomorrows hangover will help to remind her to ease off next time. Calling to you for help to get home is a good sign in my book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been there done that and seen history repeat itself with two out of three offspring. Middle child has been peeled off the pavement and poured into our car. The Christmas before last, oldest child came home from some festivities and fell asleep on the bathroom after talking into the big white telephone. My wife wasn't too happy that my first reaction on finding him there was go for my camera phone...

Shocking pants vernon - hope you put him right!

Done that many times - probably still do but my memory is not all that good...

Had an action replay a couple of nights ago but sadly the clicky whirry noises from my camera phone woke him up before I cpould get a decent shot

As for his pants, I'm grateful (not as much as he was ) that he was wearing some.

A good part of my 21st was spent with my keks round my ankles and my head in the toilet bowl.. asleep, after wanting to go to the toilet... only to then feel very sick.. and having done neither to just fall asleep.

Never heard them breaking into the bathroom to see whaere I'd gotten to about 20-30mins later.:biggrin:

Great party though (I think).

Yes I know what that's like (from the student end, of course). Only happened once so far (getting rescued), and to be honest it did stop me from drinking so much, since it took me about a week to fully recover, and my tolerance is pretty high considering my size etc. So perhaps believe her when she says it won't happen again...(although I wouldn't count on it  )

Well, she survived the night and made-it back to life in time for a big family lunch (in her honour as she was 16 during the week), I think she's learned a valuable lesson, particularly wrt Vodka and Coke! She'll stick to a Carling in future.
The mother of the house where the party was being held called and was most distressed by what had happened ( they returned home soon after the rescue), especially that one of the other girls had brought the vodka, several other girls were quite sick too. Shame really, a level of trust has gone. That's the thing about being a teeneager I guess, exploring the boundaries and occasionally going one step too far. As with others. we pretty much all did it. Love those bathroom floor shots btw!

Glad she is ok, also I have 3 boys the first of which is just reaching that age, I reckon it must be much more worrying with girls though. Y ou sound like you are being supportive though so thats great.

I have done it once. Badly. Maybe twice.
But I never had the sense to call the parents though, taught me not to, but I won't go too far anymore because I feel guilty that my friends are always there to back me up and get me home safe.
