I have been told this right in my face by my parents many times (not that my parents hate me). As soon as I have the money, I will move out.

I did it the other way round. at 18 i kicked my parents out.


alright, i technically bought the house off em but "i kicked them out" sounds better lol.

Friend of mine told her two sons they were moving out at eighteen to start independent lives.... and meant it!

One joined the Royal navy, the other has his own flat and lives / works locally

Oldest child left for university in Sheffield and spent only the holidays at home. Upon failing his degree he moved back in, got the first job that he applied for and moved out within a year.

Middle child elected to stay at home while attending Leeds Met Uni. Abandoned degree after ten weeks and dossed for two years before enrolling for a degree last year same Uni but this time moving out.

Youngest child went to Bangor Uni last year ind is back home for the summer.

It's strange being part time empty nesters.

No,but thimes changed "old" lady..................... .But then againgyou do have a point and then again i make another point and a short debate begins.Seemingly this happens with another person who openly proclaims he is "Mad"
