Bojack Horseman...cartoon character. Thinks he's funny, probably not everybody's cup of tea. Quite appropriate

My username came from a neighbour we used to have who called me this whenever we shared a barbeque and got a bit drunk together. He was known as "Russybaby" to me which appears to me still available on CC so help yourself
Were you both listeners of Chris Evans on virgin radio at the time?

My mate (garybaby) calls me jonnyboy because of that show.

Taken by Dave Woodhead (I think), during the 2010 'Harriers v Cyclists' race (Bingley - Baildon Moor - Shipley)
Rob Jebb (the Hope Technology rider, won that edition of the race)

Sorry, folks for the brief diversion:blush:

 that looks like a lot work and pretty manic to boot. Just wondering if there's any advantage to taking a bike along given the muddy hills and runners all over the place? ^_^
'Swings & roundabouts'
I've ridden it as well

A CX bike is lighter to carry, than MTB (MTB frames can be awkward to carry too)
Dependant on gearing may be ridden further up the hills, than a MTB
'Flotation' isn't such a big deal on that course (ie; MTB tyres)
A few years ago, I'd have said MTBs have the braking advantage, but now that lots of CX bikes have discs...

I rode twice on MTB, as I hadn't got my CX bike then
Barring last years race (when I was very unfit), I've always been quicker running it

Downhill, you have to trust your footwear
I've worn Mud-Claws or X-Talons (the blue/orange)

A picture of one of my old three speeds taken somewhere along the quayside in Westport Co. Mayo at the end of a day which included a c30 mile ride and climbing Croagh Patrick in the middle of it. The bike is worthless junk but it rides much better than you'd expect and it's one of my favourite bikes, I've used it for utility riding, sometimes long rambling days rides and an occasional loaded tour.

I am your Father
I have had a good few but my favourites have been Kojack, Jimi Hendrix caricature, Darth Vader "I am your Father" & the old Leigh Centurions RLFC Emblem/Crest.

Currently it is this ...

& still with the "I am your Father" tag line.

I have regressed to a child like state & love a bit of Family Guy ....

Think I might go American Dad for a while ...

"I am your Father".
