Hi, I am not a cyclist these days (arthritis) but I have been asked to let you know that there will be a public enquiry into a Thames Materials application to be held at 9.30 am at Spelthorne Council Offices, near Staines, Middlesex on Monday 23rd May. Local residents will attend to oppose this application but many cannot as they have to work. If anyone is available and feels strongly enough, please join us.

Any details of the application - this is pretty local to me - anything to do with the multitude of gravel pits around here?

Thanks for letting us know Christine! I'm not local but I'm sure there are plenty of London residents here who'd like to go along!

Pretty low for them/the council to arrange a 'public enquiry' when most people are unable to attend though

This council is crap and do not care for cyclists one iota. Everything is anti-cyclist or not even half-hearted.
