Wee problem with the Pashley yesterday, back wheel very stiff and hardly moving.
Managed to go round the block but it was like pedalling up a mountain, so took the roadie out instead.
Called my usual bike shop today, which is about 40 miles away but I do rate them, they are a small shop and unable to look at the bike until next week. Other shop I rate is even further away.
Then I remembered Evans in the city, gave them a call and took the bike along.
The staff were very friendly and solved the problem in minutes, (someone, ahem
had overtightened the rear hub brake), they also helped me sort my rear light.
I thanked them and asked how much I owed only to be told, "oh, no, nothing, small problem and easy to fix".
I know where I'll be going in future for repairs and service
