Linzi Drew and Ben Dover (aka Simon Lindsay Honey). Linzi Drew rings a bell. I don't think I ever watched any of those Ben Dover videos although the name is familiar. All very 80s.

The Dad, Lindsay Honey, was in a documentary quite recently where he tried to become a "straight" actor. He had training from RADA and employed an agent. He was never taken seriously and found there was no money in it so went back to selling porn films.

He has a very nice house in the Surrey Stockbroker belt, so his neighbours shaft people for money too!!

Linzi Drew was a pig, Ben Dover films were pretty cheesey affairs. Filmed as a kind of a fly on the wall documantary Ben filming his pal called Mario or Pascal or somebody as they meet regular women off the street and persuade back to hotel's. The women were always of a pretty low standard. I much used to prefer the buttman films with Rocco in of around the same era.

I think I saw that. It was on Beeb 4 and he came across quite well - diffident, moderately talented and completely genuine.

He did come across as a loveable rogue. If I recall correctly he stumbled into adult films when his pop career took a dive. He found that he had the ability perform on demand with a camera crew watching, which 99% on male actors can't. Female actors can fake it, men can't!

His venture into "straight" acting was interesting because he felt more exposed emotionally as an actor than a porn star as he was able to mentally detatch himself from porn in a way he couldn't from acting.

Do you think the kid was conceived whilst it was being filmed??

I would not go that far lol. Just used to be into the odd bit of porn when I was younger. I think that the combination of the digital age and myself getting older made it wear off. Much more plentiful on the net that it became boring, the only plus point is that it is much easier to erase your browsing history than hide a stash of mags and VHS tapes from your mother lol.

I'm impressed (if that's the word!) by the level of knowledge shown on this thread. I mean, sure, I've watched some porn but damned if I remember any of it let alone who was in it. I respect that it's an interest equal of any other but it was never my thing. Tbh, I found porn to be dull and comical. Mainly comical.
