Perrinpit has often been subject to flooding in heavy rain, but I've not seen it worse than this in six years. The road will be even more pitted and potholed after this latest flood , which is a shame as I rather like the route to work along there.

I have Spare socks at work and the heatings on full so 2 hours and shoes were dry !
Didn't sweat today I don't think, mind you the rain was so heavy that I wouldn't have noticed. Found my scull cap type hat at work too ! That would have stopped the water pouring off my head at least.

Problem is now my Bag isn't as waterproof anymore so the clothes I bought to change into got a bit wet too. Had to dry them before I could get dressed.

I get my Wife to bring in my clothes at the start of the week, so I have lots of shirts and underwear for when I get here.

Apparently the rain's all heading up north- wahey, dry London this eve (maybe)! The poor Hybrid's been locked up outside work all day, received a real soaking.

must have looked odd with your brolly on the bike

That's only odd if you come from a non-cycling country.

Some large pools of water around the country lanes on the way back tonight, but far worse was the windy conditions, head down trying to make some progress. But at least it stayed dry I suppose

Horrible commute today....

Late leaving for work this morning - can do commute to train station in 14mins if i push it and left with 15 mins to train... rode really hard but took me over 16 becasue of the wind and the rain so missed the train.. wet and cold 25 min wait for the next one which then diverted around Bimingham because of power line problems.. eventually got to work an hour late..

Hung clothes to dry behind servers so nice and dry for when I left.

Left work to go and pick car up from MOT station and 5 mins later had a visit from the p***T**E fairy... brilliant.... Repaired then just about made it to garage before they all locked up..

Hope tomorrow is better!

It can only get better after that, i left myself 15 mins to do my 5 mile commute which always takes me atleast 20 mins, went hell for leather and when i turned and got the wind in my face i had no energy left, 15 mins late for work

I got a wigging for leaving my wet shoes in the air-conditioned server room to dry out. It worked beautifully but apparently the air does not get sent outside.. :B)
