If it has to do with chucking it in a river I have seen that done. In one case rider and all went in and had to get rescued by a search party before being washed out to sea.

It's a video from Timmy Mallet, of all people, of someone riding their roadbike through a particularly deep ford (almost up to the handlebars). Judging by the comments, not the brightest thing to do.

They nearly make it across without stopping and I love the woman in the background saying

'That's more than the 4 inches, isn't it?'

Timmy cycled around the coast of mainland Britain last year in memory of his late brother Martin, who had Down Syndrome, so he's not just an idle spectator.

Mrs D followed Timmy Mallet's blog on Felchberk. I quite enjoyed reading it.

Yes, aside from his sometimes annoying manner, he does do some interesting things and he has a history degree too, something that comes through when he's talking about places/things/events.

Many years, decades even, a friend of mine had an arm in plaster. Timmy Mallett approached her and offered to sign it. She didn't know who he was, and told him to go away.

My only Timmy Mallett story. Sorry, it's all I have.
