Never did I imagine riding today. This Morning when I got up the Weather was Biblical 😳 And Mid afternoon Sat rides are not me in any way, shape or form either.

But it turned out so nice this afternoon I figured a ride up the Coast would be flat, quiet’ish…..if not a tad breezy coming home.

So….if this is Global Warming: bring it on !! 🤣

Then a slog back mostly into a head / sidewind home….🙄

What a day for November though. Enjoyed that ! And even as a simple Suffolk lad with 8 webbed digits: I make that 11 down……..1 to go 😉

@sevenfourate , I wondered why you didn't ride early doors that will be the rain then

Yup: I’d planned on an early pre-Dawn raid. It then looked like it would be (And it was) ‘horrific’ this Morning in general; from very early on. I even had in my head going out at 1 minute past Midnight…..as at one point there was a Weather Window in the wee hours…..And I quite fancied a lights-on Adventure !

But in the end even that got scuppered by 40+ mph winds and heavy rain. I’m just glad I got out today in nice weather, enjoyed it and got a November banker done.

Kudos to you for being 1st over the line though 😉

November 50 K ... ✅

Early morning ride out with a mate today, he wanted to break his 50 km duck.
We decided on a trip from NE Bristol across to Chepstow, lovely sunny morning after what looked like had been a wet night due to the wet roads, exited Bristol via Patchway & Easter Compton before crossing the Severn Bridge on the south side.
A stop at the Werherspoons for a breakfast and coffee before the return leg over the north side and homeward bound via Olveston & Bradley Stoke.
My mate did really well beating his longest distance by 20 kms ... 👍

Spotted and noted this month 😁

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I did a nice lumpy 65 km ride last weekend with a mate of mine. He contacted me yesterday evening and asked if I fancied repeating it. I checked today's forecast and it was for sunny intervals, a chilly wind and a 40-50% chance of some showers... We went ahead and did it!

The wind was chilly, but the sunshine was nice. I got home in the dry; the rain started 5 minutes later! :okay:

I had been slacking this week and needed a decent ride today to exceed my 110 km target. This ride took me to 113.7 km.

Over-compensated for whimping out on failing to try for a First-To-Post, this month, by doing the longest ride I've done in over a year.(About 38 miles.) Missed any rain, and surprised myself by sensing I had a tad more to give. (Though my backside was beginning to complain.)
This out near a little hamlet in Suffolk called Hemingstone.

Well, that's a surprise - I went even further today (about 39 miles). The tailwind going out lulled me into a false sense of ability. The headwind coming back home was brutal. Still, there were some great views to be had.
This near Gosbeck.

I fell for the tailwind trick of thinking I was on a good legs day until I turned for home and realised I wasn't 🤣
