It's back again by popular demand ( at least 2 people asked for it )
Welcome to the twelfth edition of the half century a month challenge
This thread is just for chatting about the challenge ,The challenge thread will be up soon ready for Jan 1st and gives a run down of the rules
The challenge remains as popular as ever and gets us out riding perhaps when we need that bit of extra motivation , strangely addictive you've been warned
I once again will be acting as general taskmaster( some say cruel taskmaster) ,encouraging ( some say bullying ) you along and trying to keep everyone in order ( bit like herding cats) .
Good luck to everyone who enters ,may 2025 be the year of the tailwinds ,downhills and glorious weather
Anyone thinking about entering for the first time just give it a go were a friendly little corner of the forum ( mostly unless I find out you've only riden 49km 😤 Grr ) and everyone is encouraged ( or bullied ) along to get to the finish line

You actually think I keep all those statistics 😁

Of course I do ,amazingly in 2016 42 riders started the challenge ,over 30 is a good year would love to see those numbers again

It was originally my idea, so I suppose that I should take part again!

Trying to get anyone to join a challenge - any challenge on CC - is seriously hard work.

I'm in for this one next year. Hope to get a ride done when this Arctic cold finally leaves us. Thursday's snow is still lying in a few places and cycling at the moment is downright hazardous.

In 2023 I did a few 50+, but 2024 just one. Looking to improve on that so I'm throwing my hat in on this.

Also I'm starting a "Healthy Living" course at the end of Jan (free though my Council) so I'll mention this

Yep! I'm in for this one, looking forward to challenging myself. Started cycling again in September so this should will spur me on!
