The A3 - my failed plan :)

I just got my bike back from the shop today and went for a spin after. Just going along main roads and where it was relatively safe from ice.

I started going out my old commute route to work as I know it well. I wasn't going to go as far out as I did, but when I noticed the M25 stop starting at about 5mph I thought..."Hmm!! maybe the A3 will be similar".

For those of you which don't know the A3, it may as well be a motorway as it is 70mph and 3 lanes for the most part. It does have a cycle path (of sorts, I think). But anyway...not a motorway so cyclists can go down it.

I decided to go check it out and if it was the same as M25 I was going to go cycle down it, filtering where ever I pleased (A bit of fast lane action I though ).

Only to get there and find it moving well and pretty empty .

I'm sure that no one on the A3 thought that the fact that it wasn't chocker block was a problem...but I was slightly disappointed

Everywhere else was very busy, just the one road I didn't want to be busy....I definitely over took more people than the amount of people who overtook me today!

Not hijacking the thread at all but, talking of the A3 how are the plans for the tunnel at Hindhead proceeding (used to live there) sorry.

They are finally building it! I think it is due in the next couple of years.

Not hijacking this thread at all or maybe I am but I have definetly fitted my Dawes Audax 2006 with a car horn.See I bought the wrong horn off of ebay so I will try it out tommorow.It's loud,im half frigging deaf after trying it out earlier.

I have found out what I fitted to my 2007 is actually 2x motorcycle horns.I ordered more of them but will see how the test goes with the other horn.

So looking forward to the next commute tommorow for that reason just hope I don't start all that sliding around B0550X.
