Best bike - 18 years old - pro level bike
Training Bike - 16 Years old (one step down from pro)
MTB - 14-16 Years old... - current daily work horse for getting to work

Hoping to get a new workhorse for going to work, then the MTB can go back to being a proper MTB.

Day bike/commuter: 5 years
MTB: 7 years
Brompton: 8 years
Pub bike (secondhand MTB): 15 years approx.

Plus, new tourer/day bike: 1 month (intend to sell 1st day bike/commuter once confident in abilities of the new one).

I'd buck the trend here and say if you're happy with your old bike, stick with it (although a spare is always useful).

Only have one at present - 4 months old ATB (glorified MTB). I've changed the knobbly tyres for thinner smoother ones which has put the speeds up, and I'll never ever have another bike with aluminium frame and front suspension - but it was a christmas present so shouldn't complain, and I'll miss it when it goes the way of all bikes and it gets nicked !
