just passin' through
3 down now. England looking to Anderson for shelter. Johnson and Siddle scored all the runs for Aus! :smile:

<cough - Hilfenhaus - cough>

A good performance from the England bowlers again. And ending the 2nd day 113 runs in arrears with 7 wickets in hand. A comfortable lead should cause the Aussies some trouble as they continue to bat like headless (dare I say, gutless) chickens.

Victory in four days?

England winning on points so far.

The Aussie's no.s 2,3,4 and 5 are averaging 55 in this series altogether which is dreadful.

Good day all in all for our boys, if we can pile some runs on tomorrow maybe a result is possible but still think given the weather forecast a draw is more likely. Pity Strauss didn't go on further today as he was hitting some cracking shots and looked in superb form.

I've been working silly hours, and I've completely missed this one. Reading through the excellent Guardian OBO report it looks to me as if one very good partnership will give England a decent lead and five sessions to get at the Aussie batting.

Did you see the Aussies trying to claim a non-catch by Hughes off Cook when he had 99. Shame on them and also pretty foolish given the number of cameras around and a review system available to embarrass them to boot.

There's wide gulf between playing tough and blatant cheating.

Excellent day at the office. This one's got draw written all over it.... unless, of course, the Aussies have thoroughly given up the cause.

That truly was a shocker and a disgraceful attempt at cheating

over 200 ahead. A good spell before lunch on the fourth day and Strauss can declare. Surely the Australians won't make England bat again....

If England declare, they are fools. Bat for as long as they can, winning the series is top priority.

Here's hoping for an innings victory. Have we ever managed 3 in a series against Aus before?
