Good thread.. I'm 6' 5 and 32 waist and about the best I've found is Gore stuff. I just save up as best as I can!
What size Gore stuff do you find fits? I'm similar measurements to you.Good thread.. I'm 6' 5 and 32 waist and about the best I've found is Gore stuff. I just save up as best as I can!

@ OP - dunno dude, you're almost ideal racing shape - most racing cut clothes should fit you perfectly![]()
Yes I'd agree with the medium for Gore, although I often find them to be slightly too short.
The roubaix bundle of long/short bib tights mentioned further up fit me very well and may well be worth it for you if you are after long tights.
I think I'm a bit taller than most racers though aren't I? Or maybe it's just that most commercial cycling clothing is cut to more accommodating sizes for the average commuter/enthusiast.
There's no way I could afford something like Assos
I'm 6'6", 36" waist and 38" inside leg so I've never bought longs without stirrups. For other bib stuff (shorts and 3/4) I'm fairly sure all my stuff is size 5 or Nike XL. I've not really had any problems yet.I'm 6'8" with a 36" waist - I think if the longs have stirrups at the end then there's usually enough stretch in them to do the job. If they don't have the stirrups then I might as well buy 3/4 lengths!
No chance. Played basketball for my school, never again. We should start a Cycle Chat basketball team.![]()
Thanks for the tipI find Gore cut middle of the road. Take a look at Nalini or similar for true racing cut.
You are taller than most racers in the same way that you are taller than most people. The cut is to do with how lean you are for a given height...
Do you get the "You must be great at basketball!" comments then? I've always been embarrassingly bad at it...No chance. Played basketball for my school, never again.
Yep. Not as often now I'm older thankfully. I was actually quite good. Certainly good enough not to pay much attention during training. However I went to a Catholic school where violence was fairly casual, being hit in the head twice by a medicine ball that the teacher had thrown because I was talking at the same time as him convinced me that a. I was doing this in my own time and b. I didn't have to be there. I got up and walked out, never played basketball since.Do you get the "You must be great at basketball!" comments then?
