Here for rides.
Having read the hoo-haa from the reviewers in the Sunday Times and Observer I've just given it, well the first two episodes, a go on iPlayer, and put the rest on series link.

I like. Muchly.

Your thoughts.....?

(No idea what I'm on about Episode One is on BBC4 at 21:00 tonight I believe)

Didn't know it was on, but stumbled upon it as it was starting. Enjoyed first 2 episodes.
Series is set in Sweden and Danmark, it's easy to tell where they are due to the number of bikes (or lack of) in the background.

I watched the first two episodes, I might watch the rest of the series, but not sure really.

TBH Inspector Montalbano remains my favourite. ^_^

Rocky, I think I reminded you it was on, without necessarily recommending it.

I agree Montalbano was excellent......I'll give The Bridge a few more episodes.

Montalbano had all sorts of characters...good plots, great scenery and some fun

And Luca :girl:

Once I'd noticed the rigid camera staging cutting to the speakers it resembled a badly filmed 'learn italian' OU language programme from the 70s.
Better than Vera though... but most things are.

I like it. I have just seen episode 1 and will watch 2 tomorrow and have the rest on record.

Took me a while to work out the characters, a few of them look the same to me.
Interesting Asperger's theme.

These Scandinavian things, although good, are starting to get a bit passe.

Wallander (with Krister Hendrikson of course), The Killing, Borgen, The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, Those Who Kill or whatever its called, The Bridge...... they are all brilliant, but the novelty is wearing a bit thin....

I liked Spiral and Inspector Montelbano too by the way, although the music in the latter leaves something to be desired at times!
