I think the recent Montalbano series was about 10 years old and there have been several more made since then, so hopefully a fair back catalogue still to see.

Re. The Bridge - are we supposed to believe that the TT was hanging around outside the shop, in full police riot gear, for a couple of days (?) on the off chance that they'd release their hostage?

I was up till 1am last night after seeing this thread and "just trying" the first episode. I ended up halfway through episode 5 before I noticed the time!

I enjoyed the killing but felt a bit let down at the end to be honest... following all those dead end leads for most of the series when the killer's identity was obvious in episode 2 or 3.

will give this a bash though.

I was really disappointed by The Killing... I got bored- we borrowed the box set- but I stopped watching after 3 or 4 episodes and came back to it for the last 2 without missing anything important with the intros and coming up next time edits... I thought it would have been a decent story length as a feature film. Nearly as bad as Vera...
