I've discovered I don't particularly like watching it in weekly episodes, having watched the first three series almost in one 'gulp'. Perhaps that way the silliness creeps up so incrementally that it doesn't matter...
I think there’s something in that. Previous series have been broadcast two episodes at a time. I guess they can’t do that now it’s moved to bbc2.
While it's refreshing having some women in lead roles in TV thrillers, there seems to be a trend in having them with various phsychological/mental issues. Saga in The Bridge, Marcella, and Carrie from Homeland.

This latest series of The Bridge seems to have upped the anti a bit with Saga's Asperger's.
I haven't seen Homeland so can't comment on that one (or much else in the TV thriller stakes really) but I would challenge the perception that asperger's/autism is a "psychological/mental issue". Which isn't to say, of course, that Saga isn't utterly screwed up in a myriad of ways - one of my favourite bits of the current series is the scene where she, having self-diagnosed PTSD, refers herself to a counsellor and gives them a 3 minute précis of what's brought her there, and the reactions shots were a bit of a televisual and acting marvel, I reckon.

Most women are nuts!!

I've just watched E1 S1 and its only got a couple of weeks before its removed.
Ill not bother.

Did you need to say that? Clearly just a bit of T in C

We are enjoying the series. Lots of different threads that will eventually link up in unexpected ways.
There are very few programs that we make a point of watching together. This is one, as is Endeavour.

Series 1 done: I nearly gave up as it contorted itself a bit too far but it just rescued itself. Can't decide whether to watch 2 though. Only 17 days left on iPlayer for 2 and one dark Skandi drama might just be enough for me.....

It (seriously) works if you sit down with a bottle of something nice, or a BIG pot of tea, and some quality snacks and just guzzle the whole series in one gulp.

[Mr K saw some new graffiti on a bridge over the M62 saying 'free Tommy'. We are intrigued that it may or may not be a spoiler!SPOILER]
