On a lighter note Holyhead is hardly the be all and end all of bike destinations
Pembroke and Rosslare aren't too far behind! And what about the Scottish cousins? Or indeed some parts of France?

Holyhead Port may be the end all, it seems as though there's very few that actually want someone on a bike in front of them, within the port.

I had no problem in Holyhead but had to join the car queue.

I've always quite liked the theme of an Irish Sea loop along those two coasts.

I can report that I've probably ridden 90% of the Welsh side - stunning roads and views!

It should be called the Celtic Inner Circle. Ideally it would include Scotland, Cornwall and Breton as well.

Somewhere there is already a southern version i.e. a loop starting along the Breton coast, back along some of Cornwall/Devon/Dorset.
Seemed a nice idea (until I realised I'd have to ride several days along the South coast of England ...)

The Pan Celtic Race did an extended version of that last year and have included other bits of it in differnt versions of the race.
