By no means do I rush out and buy Cliff's latest release or decorate my house with spray snow or plastic santa's.... but for me Christmas is awesome for 2 reasons...

1. Sausage and Bacon wraps!

2. The look on my kids faces when they run in our room at 5am with their stockings full of prezzies!

Humbug or not... what's your favourite bits of Christmas?

Going for a nice early morning ride with the least amount of traffic you are likely to see the whole year. (followed by football on boxing day  )

I'm not really a humbug

I don't mind Christmas day, it's just the 8 weeks leading up to it I don't like.

And spending the whole day with the rest of the family is a chore for me and my brother.

But last year was the first year with my new nephew. so I get to go into all the toy shops and play look at all the cool toys. I'm just waiting for him to be old enough so I can buy some Star Wars stuff, and a bike obviously

I can't think of anything I like about Christmas other than the fact it reduces the working week. Maybe I should post of the bah humbug thread........

Are Dudi's family really that bad Dell?

For me it's late Christmas eve, carols from Kings playing, all the lights dimmed except the Christmas tree, with the log fire hissing, and the waft of Christmas tree scent as I sip my Baileys and think - "Well, if I've forgotten anything now, sod it..too late".
That's my best bit.

Last year I went to midnight mass whilst still on duty. The atmosphere in Dewsbury Minster was absolutley wonderful, but then coming home at about 3 in the morning to find the house quiet, sitting in front of the fire enjoying a malt while the rest of the house slept, really gave a feeling of contentment.
