I had trouble getting a car up Canton Avenue, let alone on a bike. I have a couple of great, short hills in Bloomington/Normal, but nothing like Pittsburgh, or Peoria, for that matter. East Peoria as well.

A record number of riders - at least 320 (including a record women's field of at least 25).

Men

1. Ian Baun (17 years old) 103 points
2. Gunnar Shogren (52 years old on a single speed bike!) 82 points
3. Andy Seitz 69 points
4. Steve Cummings (10-time DD winner) 62 points
5. Willem deBoer 58 points
6. David Short 56 points

Women

1. Betsy Shogren (first woman single speed finisher and her 3rd DD win) 57 points
2. Lesley Butler 54 points
3. Erin Yanacek 38 points
4. Kristen Ehringer 16 points

Both winners earned free entries in Jim Sota's Mt. Davis Challenge road race next year.
