"The faster the speed, the bigger the mess"? That's really grating English. Should be "The higher the speed ..." surely?

I can't help thinking that the kind of self centred, irresponsible prick responsible for most dangerous driving like that will be completely unmoved by such an advert.

I can't help but agree, but also to say that such a waste of air probably wouldn't have tried to avoid the dog.

I disagree - it's exactly this kind of thing that changed drink driving, and will slowly but surely making speeding socially unacceptable. Some people will still do it, but lots more will cease.

I think with speeding it's more of a mountain to climb, tbh, but I'm glad it's being attempted. The other prong of this is proper enforcement though (as it was with drink driving) - does the will to provide this (from Police and judiciary) and support it (from the public) exist?

Speeding is also just one part of a whole raft of things people do on the road that are selfish and inconsiderate (not giving other road users enough room, not reading the road ahead etc etc)

Good video. As BM says, we need to make speeding social unacceptable. The shock tactics used to make drink driving unacceptable (back in the 80's I think) worked well. No reason why this approach can't work for speeding.

I'm tempted to suggest watching 'top gear', because that shows you that the mountain is going to remain insurmountable while mainstream broadcasters blatantly allow producers to encourage lawlessness on our roads. Such campaigns are small beans, I'm afraid, on their own.
