I could not find the right forum for bike riders releasing their books so I lumped it in the cafeteria. Admins; please correct this mistake.
Just a short note announcing the release of my debut novel The Final Ride.

The Final Ride is both a novel and a road movie on two wheels. It is both about a bike ride and bike riding as a metaphor for life. It even has a plot where everything get unravelled at the end.
It has not been professionally edited and has it's technical and language shortcomings. But I have released (unleashed) it now and I may do a second edit based on feedbacks to be released later (a free download for those who bought the first edition).

The Final Ride can be purchased from here. It will hopefully be available through all the big online retailers in some weeks time too.

Sales pitch over. Now, back to the coffee mug again.....

Congratulations - wishing you every encouragement to write more! And, of course I'll buy one.

Nice one! Having cobbled together a few books myself I know how much brutal effort is required, you are now one of a very small group of folk who having said they will write a novel have actually gone and bleedin' done it! Well done!

So do us CCers get a sneak preview? A bit of the first chapter perhaps? A teaser to whet our appetite? ;)

"I am not sure what the yellow dandelions are doing on the graves, but these flowers are overshadowing the rest of the flowers on the graves. Maybe these flowers are not really intended to be there. But they are still here. I was absent and an ocean away when the headstone and the flower bed was put on the top of the mortal remains of my beloved ones. Absence. That's the story of my life."

The first lines of the book. I am starting work on my second book next week and I am also planning to get out a cheap/free cycle routes in the West Of Scotland area for all your smart phones and hand held devices sometimes before next summer. I just need to get my left leg up and going again after breaking the fifth metatarsal at my left leg and annoying the same foot's achilles heel too. I am a bit one-legged at the moment.

Well done on the book, I have 3/4 of a book written so I know how impossibly hard it can be.

Everyone's a critic however (I'm my own...the worst kind) and I would question the repeated use of the word 'flowers' in the opening paragraph...it feels clumsy to me?

Well done though, I'll have a look at it!
