Always go to the pub on a Tuesday night and there's always a footy game on . . . until last night. Absolutely no televised British or European football. At all. This does not happen very often. Watched Jamaica v Trinidad and Tobago. True Story

Another ex Falkirk man played and scored Burnell

Sorry didn't watch the video which probably answers the question

So do they play on lesser Hampden now? I went to watch Queens Park years ago (At Hampden) but I recall being in their clubhouse and lesser Hampden was sitting there doing nothing.

Aye they're at Lesser Hampden now - they've just registered it as where they're playing all games next season. They played some of their games at Hampden last season - where they also enforced the no drums, flags or making noise rules.

Last season average attendance 1500. Next season capacity 950.

The good news though is that when the internationals are on next week people won't be moaning about the disruption to the Premier League.

This guy is quite good, seen a few of his videos going around Scottish lower league games. The Queens Park story is an utter farce. Sold Hampden to the SFA for £5 million then spent the money on a huge squad of players, an eye-wateringly expensive pitch and a palace for the committee - chandeliers and heated seats. Meanwhile they treat fans with complete contempt. Capacity of only 950 (in the video the smug blazer talks about building new stands but that's been dropped) and the away allocation is only 250. No drums allowed, no Ultras allowed, flags confiscated etc etc

It's like the local bowling club winning the lottery and the committee getting the money to spend.

Agreed. It's an absolute joke they've been allowed to get away with that.

Chelsea v Real Betis tonight in the European Conference League final. Be interesting to see the reaction in the English media if Chelsea win after they lost the plot over West Ham doing it a couple years ago claiming it was "a major European honour" (it isn't).

I don't remember the press calling it a "major european honor".Instead you had bitter people saying it's only a "micky mouse cup"
We won a European trophy and it might be the lowest ranked out of all the European competitions but i'm not complaining.

Now Forest scraped through to the Conference League, did a bit of homework...
It seems the rewards(payments per match etc) are about 10 times lower than the Champions League. The concensus was its not really beneficial to PL clubs unless they get to the final stages. By the time travel costs, possible transfers to bolster a busier team (2 games a week almost without exception) there's actually not much money in it.
But for the fans, fabulous to have midweek matches in various locations.

Huge deal for more.provincial clubs, not so much so for the bigger European clubs (PL etc)

I could be mixing up some random radio chat with how it actually got reported, and I really wasn't trying to take away from the achievement. Sorry, dickish end to my initial comment there.

If they sack him after leading them to a 'once in/every a blue moon' trophy it will be a total disgrace!

It is a major European trophy. There are 950 professional clubs in Europe spread over 36 leagues and only three trophies that can be won.

The fact there are only thre doesn't make the lowest of those three (by some way) into a "major European trophy".

It is only lower level leagues plus those eliminated from the Europa league playoffs who compete for it.
