Meanwhile I bothered watching the press conference afterwards, in the vague hope of some belated entertainment, and Postecoglou seems extraordinarily resigned to being given the sack. I can only imagine it's for not being Spursy enough.

Well at least he can say on his CV that he's had a better season then the Arse
And maybe even my team if they don't win the 3rd div euro cup

Presumably Spurs will now have to rename their in-house brew to something other than Trophy Dodger.

Delighted for young Adam Wharton. A huge ta

This is why I've reached the conclusion the PL is more than happy to see the ever widening gulf between the PL and the Championship.

Most PL clubs can start the season safe in the knowledge at least two of the three relegation spots will be filled by a promoted club.

Relegation for an established PL club is almost a thing of the past. Not so long ago Wolves, West Ham, United and Spurs would have gone into next weekend's fixtures fighting for their lives. The reality is last year's promoted clubs have been so dreadful that was never a danger.

The PL is rapidly becoming a closed competition with the promoted clubs being cannon fodder.

This year may still be a bit of an outlier.

While it is certainly true that most of the promoted clubs are getting relegated straight away, there has usually been a bit of a fight for at least the last couple of relegation places, and thios was the earliest all three have been decided.

While I'm not 100% convinced by the OP's theory, it might be difficult to call this season an outlier, when all three promoted clubs went straight back down last season as well.

How deep are Radcliffe's pockets (maybe not very as he could have definitely done with a haircut this evening!)

According to the Times Rich list, he lost £6.5billion last year!
I’m not going to start shedding any tears soon, but he must be feeling a bit of financial pressure.
