Would appear that there are not many Chelsea fans on here (and I'm not one), but a comfortable win over PSG last night in world club championship was pretty impressive.
And to cap it all they even got to meet Trump.

I agree. It was impressive. To be the best club team in the world is something to shout about! A Tottenham fan on the radio, just after Chelsea won mocked the competition as 'pointless', yet I'm sure his club would've loved to be crowned as the best club team in the world. This tournament was a prelude to next year's world cup finals, mostly played in the USA, hoping to get folk excited about the event. Trump did what Trump does and ignored protocol and that bloke who handed him his winners medal 😁, wtf! wearing white trainers with a formal suit, or any suit for that matter! I'm sure he wore the same get up a year ago when England lost the Euros final.

It's the kind of tournament that only the clubs involved will ever care about.

"That bloke" has pretty much admitted it's a money spinning exercise by declaring it the most successful club competition based on revenue.

Other than Trump's bizarre appearance, I thought the number of folk in the stand wearing shirts from other teams was funny, notable highlights being Celtic, Ajax, Fenerbache and Man Utd...

Totally agree, except for the fact that the money involved is so ridiculously large that it will massively distort even the richer leagues, so teams are going to have to care about it. Fans know it's a shoot gimmick that places further stress on the health of the players tat have to play it.

That is also true when they play NFL football in London. All the fans have shirts from the different NFL teams, but just come to watch a real game live rather than just supporting their favourite one on the TV.
