Thought an England win on penalties was on the cards given Spains extra time appalling shooting and true to that missing the target from the spot fell to Spain. Wondering what speed the ball did from Kellys kick.

Well done England on beating the world champions and giving Spain a bit of payback for last year's men's defeat to them! I don't need 52 inch tv screens or to watch such games in a pub. I watched it on my phone, up till 10 minutes from the end of extra time then I had to go out as my dog wanted a pee. So I listened to the end of extra time and the penalties on my crackly medium wave, car radio.

Not being a follower of England's women's football, but always happy when they win, I'm intrigued to ask if the Scotland women's team qualified for the tournament?🤔 Just asking, that's all.😬

The short answer is no, Scotland did not qualify.

We got through to the play-off final with Finland. Got a decent draw away then fell apart at home.

Finland were unlucky at the tournament, a last minute equaliser by Switzerland knackered them.

(We got to the World Cup in 2019, and the Euros in 2017. Not bad considering there have only been professional teams in the last 8 years or so, and if you think the SPL is completely lop sided, the women's league is even worse.)
