So, Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester are relegated. The final relegation spot with two games each to play will be either Oxford or Rovers. We have a five point lead over Oxford. A win at Bramhall Lane tomorrow for Rovers would keep us safe and almost certainly relegate Oxford. If Charlton completely collapse in their next three games, Oxford could be saved.

I'm wondering if I should go tomorrow to add my voice....

I think you should go! I don't think Rovers have a good record at Bramhall Lane, so they'll need all the support they can get! My brother's going, which will mean a 184 mile journey from his home in Lytham, Fylde to Sheffield and back. Two very good results for Rovers tonight should ease pressure on Rovers players, now knowing a draw tomorrow night should be enough, but let's hope they don't get all complacent!

I'm going to watch Accrington's last home game of the season on Saturday against Crawley Town. Accrington are safe and nothing to play for apart from pride, while Crawley being only 2 points above the relegation zone have much to play for, especially with their last game of the season at home to fighting for automatic promotion Salford City. I'm going with a Brighton fan friend who lives in Accrington, but originates from Crawley. He wants me to go in the away end with him and I might do yet. Obviously I'll be wanting Accrington to win, but if Crawley win I'll be quite happy for him.

There cannot be a bunch of supporters in the land who have had as much fun as those of Coventry City this season . . . and what a way to secure the championship with a 5-1 home win and your greatest rivals being relegated.

This made me smile:

Reminds me of this Nike full page newspaper advert the day after Arsenal signed Sol Campbell
'"The quickest route into Europe" (it played a little on Standsted airport ads at the time, especially araound Tottenham Hale, where the train goes through.

Rosenior gone: must have been due a bonus if he lasted the season.

Whenever a Manager takes a job they are nowhere near ready for and gets sacked in short order, every ex-player turned pundit says "they couldn't have turned the opportunity down though" Why not? I like Liam Rosenior but he made a bad decision and should have stayed at Strasbourg. This could really set him back.

I wouldn't mind being set back to the tune of £25 million

Not sure if he really could have turned it down without putting his future at Strasbourg at risk as both clubs have the same owners

Good point, and I am sure you are right that this played a big part. I just always had the feeling that Rosenior himself felt out of his depth. Looking at his manner and interviews he is clearly a smart and likeable guy, he just seemed to be trying to project a level of confidence that perhaps wasn't quite there.

Fair point! Having said that, if all you want to do is be a Manager and a failure like that means you never get another top job, it probably doesn't cushion the blow as much as we think it would or should.

How many managers sacked by Chelsea in recent years have not gone on to other jobs? He's young, if he wants to continue in management he will, and if he succeeds with some club in the future his Chelsea sacking will be forgotten.
