They wouldn't actually let fans near the stadium, and didn't have any static trophy lift at the town hall, because of fears of a crush

There were fans at the stadium before the buses left but not sure if was ticketed/invite only

Friends and family only on the stadium concourse & the bridge, then out onto Drayton Park where it was residents only (massive gates at Holloway Rd) and then through the gates and OMG!

An interesting article on today's Guardian on the World Cup. Personally I hope the whole tournament is a complete flop. I refuse to watch on TV as my protest against FIFA and the American government.
