Brilliant first half attacking after the ad break and a second half of horrid flashbacks to England Vs Argentina '98 after Beckham's stupid flick kick foul.

Pickford saved us a few times, Bellingham did wonders in front of goal and clearing a certain Mexico goal, while Gordon had a good game attacking on the left wing plus drawing the penalty.

Glad I stayed up, but today is going to be a long zombified day!

Pickford saved us a few times,

That's his job. Nobody ever says "The centre forward saved us".

Ian Wright has spoken at length about this and why he feels that is. I can't post on here as it will get taken down for being political, but I can't disagree with anything he says.

Do you have any links to this? I'm interested to hear what he has to say. The first thing that sparked my interest is I think I heard Tuchel say it wasn't a red. I think Balogun's action was a clear and dangerous foul. My other interest is FIFA and the now questionable validity of the whole tournament.

We need Belgium to beat the USA out of sight.

There were a lot of pundits complaining about the sending off but it seemed to me that instead of planting his foot when he could he moved it towards the leg before doing so.

I think midlandsgrimpeur was referring to the grief that Bellingham gets rather than the red card incident.

But yeah. Do it Belgium…

Yes, Wright has been outspoken about the way some players - Rashford, Saka, Bellingham, Sterling - have been treated by the media. But that's probably as much as we can say here without getting the thread shut down
