As corrupt as FIFA undoubtedly is, the whole "They want Argentina to win" thing is just conspiracy theory hokum.
What really skewers the idea is that there are already grumblings from UEFA about FIFA, especially about the 64 team idea, being heavily pushed by CONMEBOL.
If there's any suggestion that FIFA have somehow favoured Argentina (letting them play in their navy kit doesn't count), then UEFA could quite easily say "Righto, we're off" and FIFA falls apart.
You might want to not take every post literally, mine was obviously (I thought) somewhat tongue in cheek.
However, when you consider how Infantino and FIFA was influenced by Trump regards red card then maybe some conspiracy theories have a grain of truth!
I hadn't, apologies, I got where you were coming from. I was just off the back off a chat with a pal who is adamant FIFA want Argentina to win for some indefinable reason and my comment here spilled over from that idiotic conversation.

How very true! Some people can't help but be negative and try to find problems, even when they do not exist

Bit of a weird incident. Yamal totally took his eye off the ball and led with his shoulder.
Lunged in with no hope of controlling the ball, but was fouled. Strange, but a foul in the box is a penalty.
