I'm also riding back, but don't think I'll have time to go via Canterbury. It's going to be straight up the old A2 for me....

... Red was half inched outside a mate's place last night ...
Morning all,
It's with great disappointment I'm going to have to withdraw my name from the list for Friday night. Red was half inched outside a mate's place last night (where she was securely fastened to an immovable object by a Security Level 3 D-lock). I'm currently compiling documents for the insurance company (Cyclescheme demands insurance - handy really) so I should be back with you anon.
*really really disappointed as was very much looking forward to this ride*
(also, quite glad I hadn't put dual pedals on her yet - my latest daydream following having taken her to Berlin for last week safely and with great ease)
'Nomes, sobbing quietly into her 'after walk to work' coffee.
Am not taking my name off the DDII yet in case I gets my replacement real quick...I think you're entitled to get your name down on the list for the next one early.![]()
Claude, my dear, you know incredibly well how to appeal to DivaNomes! The wave will be magnified in amplitude when it aligns with my own[sup]*[/sup], that's for damned sure.the news is liable to send a small wave of disappointment running through the remaining riders...
*fingers crossed very hard, now that they're not wearing gloves*See you soon on a new bike I hope.
What size bike do you ride? Between us we must have something suitable.
...(I considered getting a Velib for the night!)...
I'd be v. grateful for a loaner bike

i can lend you Gary Fisher. he even has a ladies' saddle on him since i started lending him out to my neighbour...
Another silly question from a newbie:
Bearing in mind Nomes' sad sad news, assuming Venetia the Bianchi never leaves my side on the way home, do I need to carry a lock with me?
It would make all the difference between my carrying a rucksack or not.
