My last club, sadly dissolved in 2007, exactly 100 years after it was formed. This is a picture I found online from 1910.

And no, I'm not in it.

Bike on far right (looking at it), has chain on the left hand side.

So does the one on the left; similar construction, both with projecting pegs near the top of the fork, for resting the feet while going downhill.

Having lived in Goodmayes back in the day, (a while after that picture was taken!) I remember doing a few Goodmayes Wheelers Time trials!

The annual 100 was a well known event, and even one year saw the national record broken. The club was based in Harold Wood during it's latter decades, most members having joined the exodus from the London boroughs by then.
